McAtee not the worst loanee we’ve had but he’s definitely overrated by some I’d take him or leave him tbh, plenty of effort but so did Andy Rammell.

Too lightweight for the championship imho. I liked his commitment but needed to channel the running around bit - reminded of Brendon O'Headless.

Andy Rammell and Brendan O`Connell would improve us immeasurably.

Me too but if we can't get him I'd also.be happy if we got the lad from Mansfield. Got a positive feeling about Clarke in charge.

I’d have him back but I don’t think he’s as good as some make out. Capable of some brilliant stuff but often frustrating when he gives the ball away too easily.
Can see him ending up at Wrexham for the pay day.

I'd take Mcatee back. However, Humphreys had a vibe about him. It's a shame we didn't sign Conor Grant especially now Benson's injured again.

Who remembers Ian Hendon, as we're talking about bad loanees.
Mel brought him in though, when it was slowly going downhill for himself, in season '92.

I think that's very unlikely. Collins commented about McAtee's good influence in the dressing room, and several journos who interviewed him last season also noted what a positive and likeable character he is. His attitude seemed absolutely spot on, and he always came across very well - extremely thankful that he's been given the opportunity to do something he loves to make a living, and always looking to learn and improve. I don't think you can read too much into momentary frustrations on the field - the vast majority of professional sportspeople are absolutely desperate to win every game they play.

He's on the Grimsby doc on Netflix, seems a very down to earth lad.

What precisely do you mean by "lightweight"?
