The problem for the BBS is that most posters make their judgement of a player simply upon individual excellence, or individual error. They make their judgement upon what the player does when he is close to the ball. If you do only that, yes Meds Andersen had a very poor start to the season. However, the stuff he does away from the ball makes him a very good prospect. His reading of the game was good right from day 1, and because of that he makes lots of interceptions and blocks. He wins the majority of his headers, and in fact he is our main ball winner in the air as Sollbauer prefers to read the second ball. He was castigated for his passing, and there is no doubt that it has improved during the season, but also, a passer is only as good as the movement ahead of him, and all our passing has improved because the movement ahead of the passer is now far better. Cauley Woodrow is a fine taker of chances, but the rest of his game is not up to that quality, and that includes his movement.

For a 22yr old coming to a foreign country must be difficult. We can all admit he’s had some good and bad games but since the restart he has been immense. Deffo one for the future.

He deserved the criticism for not putting his boot through it instead of tippy tapping at times.
    It cost us games.
However apart from Stoke since the 're start he as been immense.
I also beleive if he had an old head beside him from the start, it would have been so different.
I still blame the owners and not the players.
They have worked their ******** off from the start and deserve all the praise for the work they have put in this season.
Who said you cant win games with kids. ?

His mum and dad and some other relatives came to a few games earlier in the season- sat near us on East Upper, all had reds shirts on with Anderson on the back, bless em. Hope they come back next season.

    Andersons progression has been....

... He is out of his depth and needs replacing - too many basic mistakes
    ... Has potential, but......
.... Has improved but still has a mistake or two in him
    .... has potential.....
.... looking more solid after the break.......

We now need him to cut out the regular mistakes, show the same leadership and simplicity in his play and see if that potential now can be realised.

We need a .... he is now looking a solid championship player .... in the progression records.

Apart from the stoke game since the restart he has been very good. I think no crowd helped him but hope he kicks on next season with or without a crowd watching.

Ditching the 'making him play out from the 6 yard box tactics' has also helped him, it's let him focus on defending rather than being Rio Ferdinand.
