Mads will be a Premiership and Danish international for a few years. He’s a very good player and a quick learner. Reminds me of John Stones.

To be fair, as long as we keep Khaled that's one better than the last time we made the playoffs.

.Mads is a stalwart in league1, Championship probably hold his own against half, Premiership, i doubt he'll do much, hes clumsy and two left feet, gives a lot of free kicks away and with the quicker wingers he'd be more of a liability than an assett, done well for us snatch that 3 million and pack him off asap, before they change their minds. Thankyou Mads and good luck, all the best.

I think £3m is pretty fair for Anderson with only a year left on his deal.

I tore the board to shreds on here over the Morris deal. It was obvious he was top quality, he was a £6m plus player every day of the week. I was certain of it but I’ve no issue with £3m for Mads.

He’s decent enough & a solid championship player but I’d be surprised if he kicks on from Luton.

The big difference between him & an Ethan Pinnock is the pace of Pinnock.

I’m hoping Luton can upset the odds & stay up but if they do I still think they’ll be back down within a season or two once the buzz & togetherness wears off a bit. Then Mads will be a mid-table / top half championship centre back again which I think is his level.

Smashing lad and a credit to himself and his family.
He has fit our brief as a young player who has benefited us and then made us some money to continue our path of securing our future at least over the short term and we shouldn’t underestimate that - even if we would ideally be doing this in the league above but we’re not. August we go again!

No it hasn’t. Their main criteria has been whether or not they’ve played for Barnsley :)

No disrespect to Mads, because he's improved and impressed hugely, but Pinnock is different class. Pinnock is Rolls Royce, Mads is more Ford Mondeo.

We are overestimating the quality of our best players. They shone last season against very weak opponents. Good luck to Mads, but he’s not quick and nimble enough - so he will struggle in the premier league against opponents who are at a much much higher level. Surely Luton are buying him as back up and for future seasons in the championship. It would be great if we were to invest the £3 million in playing staff.

    Good post.

Still only a young un, plenty of untapped potential in him.

Or you're underestimating his quality. Don't forget that Mads was selected by his fellow professionals for their team of the season.
The Bolton strikers were also saying he was the best centre back in the league

That’s very different from the premier league. Time will tell. It’s not sour grapes I just don’t think he is quite good enough to be a premier league player. Spending the income on three or so new players would potentially make us stronger. I hope that happens

I think he's nowhere near as good as Stones, but I think he could do ok in the Premier League and has a decent chance of playing for Denmark. I hope he makes it. He seems a good lad.

If you think he's not worth £3 million now, I find it hard to understand why you say he'll be worth £6 million in another year. Is that not somewhat illogical? Personally, I agree with the second half of what you say.

I don't agree. I wouldn't sell him for £1.5 million. I think £3 million is just about acceptable. In view of the fact that Luton's victory at Wembley was allegedly worth £150 million to them, £3 million is peanuts. I would be happy with £5 million+.

He won’t. Percentages are out of 100. It’s literally impossible to give a higher percentage than 100.

If that's the case, we've been done. Luton have made loads of money from their promotion and will make loads more for being relegated. I can't believe the £3 million fee, if that is indeed what it is, is conditional upon their staying up.

If we do get 3 million for him then I think we’ve done really well here. Wish him all the best, he’s a nice lad is mads and a good player too.
