Must admit, that's what I thought too

They don't look that thuggish. A motley assortment but not thugs.

RE: Must admit, that's what I thought too

I'm sure someone will pick up on the fact that 1 of the protesters is wearing a Aquascutum jumper making him a thug automatically.

I cannot see the inherent link between footballing ability and management skills either

Yes, they have worked under various managers and yes some stuff may have rubbed off on them but good technique and match fitness do not automatically make someone good at man management, squad building, tactics and player development.

If a pupil passes all their GCSEs it does not automatically make them an ideal teacher.

Said it before and I'll say it again....

...ugliest football fans in Britain. That's the best thing about going to Oakwell, it makes me feel like Jude Law.

    Funniest thing in that article

SUN STAR MAN: JIMMY KEBE (Reading). Pacey, direct and highly dangerous.

He was absolutely shocking. His crossing was terrible, he dived for the penalty and was quite frankly hopeless.

He is pacey and direct though I suppose!

    He was shocking wasn't he

If he had been playing well they'd have scored 5 or 6 with El Haimour at left back but he was awful and kept kicking the ball out of play or simply missing it altogether.
Dont think he dove for the penalty though, was definetly caught by steele

didn't he set one up and get a pen?

aye, shocking. Way worse than our star winger/central midfielder...little bloke, runs round in circles.

Mind, you might have a point about El Haimour. This guy has surely won a raffle to be a footballer. Possibly as bad as Paul Gibbs.

He might have been given a penalty and set one up but he was still awful. He had the easiest job at oakwell on saturday and should have set up about 3 or 4 if he'd been on form.

I'd agree he was better than our 'star man' but so was just about every footballer in the other 71 football league clubs on saturday. to look good compared to us under davey you only needed to be able to tie your own shoe laces.

    Despite the protests...

it was good to see a bit of fire in (some) Reds fans. I've always thought we were the most apathetic bunch of fans in the league.

Tho I'm confused that as someone who regular sees BFC I've never seen any of them on that picture at a game! Perhaps they sit in the Ponty and never go to away games..?
