Well I hope you and your lady wife have a wonderful day and a brilliant honeymoon. 'kin 'ell, I think I've just come down with a nasty case of sincerity. I've always fancied the Maldives (or I have since I heard of them) but I'm afraid they may ruin my lifetime sofa experiment.
RE: Well thanks Jay. I'm going to get City Tyke to do a Isle of Wight Tykes honeymoon appeal' sticky thread. If there's owt left after I've paid for the holiday. I'll buy you a nice throw or something.
Quality idea If you raise enough money maybe I could come along as your official photographer. I'm sure I wouldn't be in the way. Let's hope there's enough cash for a camera.
Yes. A bit like the photographer at your wedding: ''I'm Jay - and I can afford twelve pee for photo's'' ''Will potato print do?'' ''Yes'' ''Good - I won't even have to shape yours''
We booked for Meeru island North Male Atols. all inc two weeks, upgraded to a beech villa, on the water front not a stilts jobby. Got the lot for £3000 with First Choice Tropical. Cheaper than Kuoni by about a grand! Only difference was airline and Kuoni only did half board. I prefered a standard airline and two weeks of Tiger beer for nowt!
RE: Went to Meeru in '95 fantastic place. real heaven on earth stuff. snorkelling is great right the way round the island. good choice going with First Choice as the planes have been upgraded and are much better for long haul (individual tv's, longer seat pitch, TV games..!!)
RE: You may get married? this is 'kin bizarre, that's my wedding anniverssary !! it's only noisy if the sea gets choppy or it's raining, nothing to worry about really, but there was 2 couples who asked to be moved. it's perfect for a honeymoon......there's virtually no kids !! a mix of people brits italians french germans croatians etc
RE: We booked for Meeru island oh yes i forgot....tiger beer.....free.......mmmmmmmmm ........all day
No mate £3G for both of us. That included the upgrade as well. Don't know what the price is this year but I thought it was a deal.
RE: Went to Meeru in '95 First Choice stopped flying direct from Manchester last year - after the Tsunami. Not sure if they have started the service again - but it was only direct to Male from Gatwick. I hated the Maldives. No football grounds, no bookies, no proper nightclubs, no brothels or lap dancers ... all I did all day was drink, eat, have classic intercourse, eat, swim, drink, snorkel, drink, have it off, relax, drink, scuba, windsurf, drink, eat, scuttle, drink & eat ... it was terrible.
Spot on. Got a good deal there. We took a boat over to Meeru one afternoon - it seemed nice. Some of the islands in the southern atolls were still Tsunami damaged when I went in March last year - but ours was also way up north & you couldn't tell anything had happened. 9am at the pool: ''Orange juice please'' ''There you go'' ''That's a pint of Tiger'' ''No it isn't'' ''Yes it is'' ''No, it's Tiger water'' ''Ah, right'' Mint.
RE: You may get married? blimey. Well I'll celebrate your anniversary by wearing a morning suit all day and acting really nervous if you like.
