Can't be any worse than my artistic skills. I wouldn't trust Tan as far as I could throw him, he had to find a way to justify such a stupid sacking.
Could live with that.if no comments are passed and no actions taken and malice given except in your own company in the comfort of your own inner self .its as if you don't exist .suits me.
Well done Dave Whelan for refusing to be cowed by the mob and morally outraged sponsors/patrons with one eye on cheap publicity. Sheff Utd caved because they couldn't take the financial hit. The Puritan thought police and those who would seek to fetter freedom of expression and the right to private communication will be beside themselves knowing that they cannot demand Whelan's dismissal nor ruin him financially. Bullies never like meeting their match.
"The Puritan thought police and those who would seek to fetter freedom of expression and the right to private communication" He was using company equipment to make these private communications so the privacy part is somewhat of a grey area. And there is a real nasty tone to his messages, it surpassed banter. I'm far from easily offended but some of the stuff he wrote was beyond the realms of 'banter'. He's left people with an image of himself now, it'll be tough to shake it off.
I'm not going to defend Malky Mackay, but if people such as Luke McCormick, Lee Hughes, Marlon King, Jamie Lawrence, Nile Ranger, Kelvs et al still managed to find jobs in football, then what Mackay did really isn't worth a second thought.
Aside from the financial investigation (which is getting ignored in all this, he may well be proven to be innocent but there certainly seems to be a case to answer), isn't it different when its someone in a leadership role, someone who makes decisions about people on a day to day basis, who is a figurehead of the club? Personally I think MacKay's biggest issue with rehabilitating his image is that he has Dave Whelan championing his cause
Racists are racists. Either get out of football, or set up your own country, with Nigel Farage at the helm. Most of this thread sickens me to the f-ing core.
The racist card is old and overused to death. I'm a UKIP supporter and some of my friends are foriegn and they know my political stance and they don't have a problem with it
I agree, immigrants that contribute to the country can only be a good thing However, some come just to take from the system and exploit it and a line has to be drawn somewhere. I know a lot of British people are guilty of the same offence but you can't deport them because no other country would be foolish enough to take them. I'm a huge fan of the immigration system Australia has adopted, something similar would be the way forward.
The Australian system puts people in concentration camps on little islands .people that are escaping inhumanity and severe poverty. No thanks look what they did with the real Australians
Obviously didn't mean that part of the system. Just the way they sort out who's allowed into the country
Australia: All illegal immigrants are free to be repatriated to their own country. They are illegally there after all. Those who refuse stay in camps. Your perjorative terms "concentration" "little islands" (sounds potentially nice if the sun shines) "inhumanity" and "poverty" indicate a lack of objectivity. Australia has an immigration policy no worse than anywhere else. But please don't ever try and complain about the places where immigrants actually come from. That'd be too much.
Too late I already did. I said escaping severe poverty and inhumanity but please carry on making us think your clever. Your not
Us? You speak for others? I see you are one of those who wishes to personalise a discussion. I promise never to respond again.
I actually visited some of the camps in East Timor you wouldn't be quite so blasé if you had seen the conditions that the people were kept in. Shameful.
