Mallorca / Benidorm in April

I went April time with the dance girls on the annual uni sports tour and it was pretty chilly! These are the 2025 dates for all unis across the UK.



I would very strongly suggest avoiding those!!

 

If you decide on Majorca , try Can Pastilla
We’ve been a couple of times over Easter and the weather is usually decent
Very short transfer from the airport
There’s a cycle path that goes past the airport and in less than a hour you will be in the wonderful city of Palma
Plenty of cycle hire shops
Also a pedestrianised promenade that goes for a few miles into the lively resort of Arenal
All in all a pretty decent resort that suits me and my wife

 

Benidorm is the greatest place on earth, I won’t be told otherwise. If you’re ever going through a rough time then go and have a long weekend there - it’s bloody brilliant.

The Calypso hotel is an ideal location for the strip too, smack opposite Morgan Tavern and good value for money.

 

I can vouch for Can pastilla as well, one of those places enjoyed it whilst there. And would recommend. I had a couple of weeks there once. Got to admit a little too long. 4 day break will suffice if you like to get around that part of Majorca. Much preferred it to Alcudia. But each to their own.

 

Benidorm is definitely not my cup o tea.
However not too far away Vallencia is a lovely city ,with a California style waterfront .
Decent flights in to there and great air b nb .
Easy access from airport to city on the underground or shuttle bus.
Weather be early 70s in April
