So City sign a keeper to replace the 2nd choice who decided to leave for a new challenge and its obscene. I'm sorry I can't see what your problem is
Errrm, I don't have a "problem". It sounds like you do though. Always argumentative, when someone doesn't agree with you or you don't agree with them. You can actually disagree with someone without being so arsey about it - Just that - end of - I'm bored with you now - don't reply to me anymore.
I fail to see where I've been argumentative, you still haven't said why City have more money than sense because they have bought a keeper .
Well - you must have been in some sort of time warp for the last few years then, or have some sort of memory loss. How much money have they spent on players signings/wages? I've lost count tbh. They've let a decent No. 2 leave on a free and spend £6 million quid on a replacement. More money than sense.
Can't stand City but £6m for a keeper ain't a lot in the grand scheme of the Premier League, particularly for the champions.
£6 million for a keeper! who's gonna be a No. 2! and they let a perfectly good replacement go for free! Jesus wept! Football is fecked.
Liverpool Chelsea Man United Spurs Have all spent big money on players who don't play regular football, City aren't the first team to do it so your point holds no argument.
Who mentioned them? I know they have, but City have spent more - much more. What is your other objection? Are you saying it is OK to spend this kind of money all the time " just cos somebody else does" - Is that your only argument? If so It's not a very good one. Money is killing the game
So do we just let Chelsea for arguments sake spend all the money and win everything? Yes the money is ridiculous amounts but teams need to spend to compete otherwise the premier league would be pretty boring
That's where we disagree. You don't need to spend ridiculous amounts of money to be exciting. You don't need a total influx of foreign players to the PL with ridiculous amounts of fees/salaries, most of which isn't going down to the grass roots of the English game. Hence clubs are going into administration and soon most will go bust - so we won't have a game soon. By your interpretation you're saying this is OK as you want the PL to be exciting. The game will be dead but the PL will be exciting - OK then.
On another point, last season "Willy" signed a new contract with a buy out clause of €20 million but now he gone for maybe €7 million, so what was the point of that then? He didn't go to the World cup as the other keepers are better at saving penalties---as seen last night.
