RE: An unfortunate incident so what you're saying Acky is the police actually did decide to randomly shoot someone on the tube. They just turned up, spun round with their eyes closed, pointed at the 'unlucky loser' and shot him?
Of course he isn't, just suggesting you actually look at the facts rather than blindly accepting all the propaganda the Met put out.
RE: An unfortunate incident So you think it was a random shooting then? That's fine, that's your opinion. I believe it was either mistaken identity or they did believe he had a bomb. i.e. that there was a reason, other than just deciding they felt like shooting someone, as to why he was shot. I'm not saying whether they were right to do so, and if there was any impropriety then an investigation in to what went wrong and steps taken to ensure it doesn't happen again. But it is a different situation entirely to the Miami airport shooting, someone else decided to bring the Brazilian shooting into it.
Aye, but There's no getting away from the fact that it was mistaken identity and they did believe he had a bomb. They were utterly wrong and it was absolutely shocking, but that's why they shot him.
RE: Of course he isn't, just suggesting you actually look at it's the same sources of information that acky uses though. It was a string of bumbling incompetence and I don't think many people from the public have actually denied that. What I really don't like about the argument is that people are trying to swing it as some sort of vendetta held against an ethnic minority and those who actually pulled the trigger had just randomly chosen to shoot someone that day to get revenge for the bombings. And the same people are now trying to apply the same theory to another incident they know sweet fa about.
RE: An unfortunate incident That's not what I said. I was merely pointing out that Eaststanders comments didnt reflect the true nature of how he happened to end up dead. Anyhow, im not about to get involved in a rehash of all that again, it was done to death the first time around when I was told I was speaking B*ll*cks only to be proved right. In regard to this guy. Its all very sad for the guy who was apparently mentally ill and his wife. Tragic. Still, maybe this 'official version' of events is right this time.
RE: An unfortunate incident exactly the point Acky, that's not what you said. But what you implied is also not what eaststander said. It's all very easy to argue someone down when you allegedly know all the facts, unfortunately, sometimes I doubt even you are party to all the facts.
So 'a string of bumbling incompetencies' is OK then! we are told these people are highly trained professionals, they carry guns, guns are dangerous!
Acky's done it, so I'm going to big up myself The only person on here that said it sounded like utter **** and a load of lies from the start was me. I was the one getting called a lovely person, not Acky. I shoo away his claims to be top Ghandi man for that is I. And now I'll deliver my milk.
RE: Aye, but It wasn't mistaken ID because the policeman who was watching the flats never positively identified him. He even said he didnt see him properly to the officer who then followed him down the street and on to the bus. The guy watching the flats even told the other officer he hadnt seen him properly and asked him to 'explain what he looked like' and was told he had "Mongolian eyes"
Acky They thought he was a bomber. He wasn't a bomber. Therefore they made a mistake in identifying him. It was mistaken identity. They either shot the right guy and he was a bomber and there was no mistaken identity, or they shot the wrong guy, he wasn't a bomber and there was mistaken identity. They made a huge ****-up that should have never, ever happened and to make matters worse they lied about the events in an attempt to absolve themselves. Shocking behaviour. But there's no argument that they identified the wrong guy to shoot. Unless you're suggesting they shot the right one?
RE: Acky's done it, so I'm going to big up myself I take no pleasure in being right, Id much rather have been wrong and the guy really had been a bomber and the police saved innocent people from dying. I just find it utterly amazing how people fail to question anything and just repeat parrot fashion everything the authorities say as "facts". Oddly im always the one who gets pilloried for actually bothering to ask questions....
RE: Acky's done it, so I'm going to big up myself Acky, serious question. Do you reckon it's worth getting angry and frustrated about the way the world works, knowing damn well sweet fa will change. Or is it better to just to say "**** it"?
RE: Acky You're completely missing the point. They didnt shoot him because they KNEW it was who they were after, they shot him because it MIGHT have been the person they were after. There's a whole world of difference. At no point did the guy watching the flats say, "I have a positive ID, its him, get him" - he even TOLD the guy following him he hadnt seen him properly. If they were so sure it WAS the person they were watching, why let a 'man with a bomb' get on the bus in the first place?!
RE: Acky's done it, so I'm going to big up myself It would be better if he actually did something about the things he claims to care about other than pose on here.
RE: Acky's done it, so I'm going to big up myself I say f*ck it all the time, I just like a good argument! Anyone who has met me on here knows im a pretty happy go lucky guy - this is just a place to vent my spleen, folk shouldn't take me so seriously. Im certainly not the same guy behind the posts. Think of me as the 'anti-TFP'
RE: Acky's done it, so I'm going to big up myself "Anti-tfp" - like 99% of this board then?ff Don't know whether you've ever met Jay but I reckon you'd get on like house on fire in real life.
RE: Acky's done it, so I'm going to big up myself For someone who has never met me, knows nothing about what I do, have done, and am planning on doing you do an amazing job of pretending you know anything more than f*ck all. What a doughnut.
