So somebody in possession of a free childs season ticket CAN get a ticket for a friend

who may never have set foot inside oakwell before but any other season ticket older cannot? That about right?

but the same goes for all season ticket holders bringing a friend doesnt it?

So in that theory we should all be allowed to bring one. But we can't get an extra ticket and we can't give our ticket to a friend because it's against barnsleys rules, apparently the only people exempt from this rule is adult with a free childs ticket who can use said ticket merely as a guarentee that the seat next to them will be kept spare for a mate all season.

Tickets for man utd game aren't even going on general sale to people with no stubs so to allow free kids tickets to be given to people with no stubs just because they know a season ticket holder is wrong in my opinion

I am with you on this SuperTyke. I get the feeling that the free kids season ticket deal is being abused for this. Might as well get one just in case.

I presently have the entitlement to 4 tickets

    it seems.

    Centenary membership
    My ST
    Nippers ST
    2 league cup stubs

Got another ST and centenary card so make that 6 tickets.

The club will be lucky if I buy one.

    Sell out?

The seat will go on General Sale

If it's not purchased in time with the season ticket dates to claim their seat. So a part-timer supporter could get it, it works both ways. ESL might aswell have some one he knows sat next to him rather than some randomer.

    there is no general sale

Well there is a category classed as general sale but you need a stub for that game so it isn't really general sale.

    well....

then i shall buy my daugters ticket who wont be going to the match as it is too late and buy a ticket for my wife who will then sit in my daughters seat.

that way there will be an empty seat if the games a sell out someone wont be able to go. if everyone who has a childs season ticket does this then loads of people will miss out.

    would guess so

cant see the club turning down £25 for a seat that may b left empty otherwise

For a normal home game I think you can upgrade the ticket. As I say Ive asked the question so let's see what the club say.

    Not strictly true..

It would go on sale in the "General Sale" phase if not claimed

    ok thanks for the reply.

Do you know why you can 'upgrade' the ticket? Isn't that just encouraging everyone to abuse the system and get a free kids place to keep the seat next to them available for the occasional friend?
