    My Mrs is from that way out, and I think the only time I've known Mottram Moor be quiet in the 6 years we've been together was at about 5.30 in the morning on the way to the airport.

    ******* absolutely!!! Got into Man airport at midnight. Took 4 hours to get home to North Yorks. Closure of M62, followed by closure of M1 meaning a detour into central Leeds were the roads were shut. GRRRRRRRR

    Woodhead - and Stocksbridge - have both been closed overnight at various times over the summer. Don't know if that is all finished yet or not...

    Forget M62 and Woodhead.
    I usually use the Isle of Skye route over Saddleworth from Holmfirth

    Looking at National Highways, it suggests disruption due to planned roadworks on Woodhead overnight from 12th to the morning of the 17th. We play Utd on the evening of the 17th so it should be ok. But there are roadworks on the M67 and the A57 through Mottram that could be a problem.

    It never ends. They've been fixing that bridge in the dip near the Barnsley MBC sign for 150 years

    Snake pass also closes on Monday - which means the Wednesday fans will be using Woodhead or M62.
