They've missed the boat on that one I'm afraid. By about 30 years.

The Glazers first invested in United in 2003 and they have survived numerous protests and
boycotts. Makes you wonder why the fans have seen fit to protest today, unless it's linked
to their noisy neighbours taking the title if United won. Postponing the inevitable imo.

It's Sky that's whipped up the **** storm in the first place.
I wouldn't be surprised if we don't see much of Gary Neville and spit the dog for a while.

Agreed. Peasants revolt, Tole Puddle Martyrs, John Brown igniting US Civil War. French & Russian revolutions, replacing one set of despots with another. US Civil rights movement (largely peaceful), Poll tax riots..?
I can only think of the Suffragette movement who affected any real, positive change. Bloody women.!!o_O

If my memory of my college days is correct, the suffragettes didn’t achieve anything. It was the the recognition of women’s industry in the traditional roles of men during the 1st world war that lead to them being given the right to vote.

Still.had to agitate first. Just as the chartists etc had to. If they hadn't demanded the vote do you really think that the govt would have said here you go ladies, an unexpected bonus for your war effort!?

Shocking scenes. And I actually saw one fan climb up and on to the crossbar.
I mean, I’ve never seen the like.

Dunno Helen, there was a suffrage movement, but the Pankhurst team was much more radical. There’s a theory that because of their actions, the government dug its heels in and became more resistant to their demands.

I do think it’s hilarious that all the journalists & ex-players have joined in with this social media blackout & can’t cover one of, if not the biggest story of the season.

Stan Collymore pretty much the only person covering it who thinks the blackouts ridiculous.

FA saying they are having problems trying to reschedule the MU game.
Why? No fans, empty stadiums surely it can be played on Tuesday afternoon or even at midnight.
Oh I forgot. It’s Sky who are the ones with the problem of fitting it in.
Here lies the problem we have with football these days.
The game has been lost to the fans.
