I’ve no idea whether our players will continue to take the knee. But I’m sure our marvellous fanbase will support them whatever they choose.
Cos booing the taking of the knee isn’t a political gesture? There’s some proper nobs in this country, I wish they’d stop following football, it’s embarrassing for the rest of us.
If the fan base is split by taking the knee I'd rather those that boo it f***ed off and followed someone else to be quite honest.
I think there are always over reactions to the pre-season games whether we win or lose. Crazy really.
Against City, our coach has seen our players under great stress & pressure. He has seen who was able to stand up to it & who struggled. Much better than an easy game where he would learn othing. Regarding taking the knee, I’ll be pleased if our players continue to take a stand against racism! To those who consider it virtue signalling etc, it’s a stand against a scourge of society! It’s not about defunding anything, it’s highlighting that racism still exists! It’s not “run it’s course” - that’ll be when the racists stop being racist or at the very least, keep their hateful views to themselves
