    I'm not convinced that Jose is the right man. United will want continuity, and someone with a good focus on youth. Jose's past record suggests he'd be in it to win a few major trophies and do one.

    I think they'd be better with Moyes. But I do think it'll be Mourinho

    Fergie's moving upstairs in the same way that Busby did. Guarenteed to cast a long shadow over his successor so I think the United job, although very attractive, might be a poisoned chalice to whoever takes over.

    I doubt that Fergie will get in the way. He'll know how hard Moyes jobs going to be, he won't want to make it harder. Reading between the lines Fergie is all for it- I reckon they decided to sort this all out now as both Moyes and Mourinho were becoming available. Moyes No1 choice.
