I would guess that there is some truth in the rumour about West Brom (and possibly others), as it has been doing the rounds long enough and the papers know the premiership scouts when they turn up. Pulis probably just wants him for his long throw now that Delap has retired. It is good that we are scouting and developing players like Roberts so well. it is also good that we seem, if the rumours are right, to be identifying the next crop of young players needed to replace the ones who may leave. Aaron Pierre sounds a good shout. Worth remembering, though, that clubs like West Brom and Sunderland probably have countless players they are scouting and Roberts and Bree may be anything up to tenth in order of priority for them. Get them signed here on longer contracts, though. We don't want players just drifting out of contract, or leaving for peanuts in the January window before their contract is up.
