He was s hit again, this is one of the reasons I'm not looking forward to another season under Struber. How many other below par players will he bring in and refuse to drop at other players expense styles, Wolfe etc

I agree with many posters that singling players out for individual criticism does not help but sadly he's a poor player and our Manager seems to want to give him more chances than he deserves to perform.....sometimes a Manager sees something and sticks with it ( remember Conner when he first came ) but now is not the time to develop players and has not been for the last few games

I must have been watching a different match. Ritz was part of a midfield setup that dominated for large parts of the match. He might not have been the creative force that Styles or Mowatt were, but I don't think that's what Struber wants from him. He provided us an element of stability that allowed others to push forward or go for goal. I don't think we have a single player who isn't guilty of giving the ball away, so singling Ritz out seems harsh, especially after getting the result we wanted.

Well ye he is allowed to say that but as you correctly pointed out " It was well versed by many" all of who were proved wrong but at the time it was the common opinion and goes to show that sometimes Managers are right and do see something extra in players, possibly this lad could be the same....who kno's

Of course its subjective. But I thought it was batshit crazy at the time, his quality was obvious.

Think it was the "get stuck in" brigade of which i admit to being one of . he did improve in this which took him to the esteem in which we all held him...and yes wish we had a teamsheet full of for the next game

I think its a core part of our fanbase. That effort and overcoming adversity are seen as key likeable welcomed traits. But I do wish there was a bit more patience for the more creative aspects of players. The creativity of Hourihanes set pieces and that unbelievable shot on him for such a slight player were evident right from the start. But then i see Woodrow is getting criticised, and given the right service, a full season and good players around him, just how many goals could that lad get in the championship? 20? 25? How much do those sort of players go for typically?

Yet I fear there will be some that say good riddance, or the peanuts we get for a fee will be welcomed.

But hey ho, it is what it is.
