What about the ST holders money wasted on Cosgrove, Dallas, Shaw, Rodrigues, Lewis does that not count as money that would have left us with a chance at signing better players? Or is it just the fault of non ST holders ? Nothing to do with a staff structure bigger than ever, very poor recruitment and throwing money down the drain on punts. I'm glad you've cleared that up, I might create a roll call for all the Non ST holders so we can shout at them if we can't afford some signings.
With the last two statements from the chairman and sporting director.. it's clear that they refuse to except any blame for there own failings and incompetence.. But we live in hope and will reserve judgment until the end of the summer window in September.
Sorry to say it but Danger Danger# Better fan Alert # Danger Danger # Incoming Better Fan Alert # You'll be telling us next its our fault we were rubbish last season because we don't sing The problem doesn't lay on the fans shoulders it lays heavily on the shoulders of those running the club and their poor management or should that read mis- management
Disappointed to miss out on him. 1) He would fit the three at the front and three in midfield system Conor wants to play; 2) Conor knows him from his Derby days - alas, so does Lee Grant. I think that money speaks, but perhaps we were not in for him at all. Talking about Derby, they are one of two Championship teams touted to be in for Paudie O'Connor, along with Huddersfield yet again. If he does go there, anyone fancy Curtis Nelson coming here as the experienced defence-organiser we need? This is the way the merry-go-round starts and there are moves starting to happen. As a striker, anyone in for Dara Costelloe from Burnley. Did pretty okay at resurgent Northampton last season. Adam Hammill said that he was sure that Conor would do really well if he has a good transfer window, so we will have to see. We cannot afford another disappointing one. Fingers crossed.
Guilty as charged. I should never have bought season tickets, even when we couldn't go through COVID. I feel guilty for funding such failure. However now we don't have STs i guess im even more guilty ;-) good post btw.
Apologies if i upset anyone yesterday - People are entitled to do what they want - its a free country after all
Well it did come across that all the ex season ticket holders not buying tickets anymore was the problem. The problem is the absolute pathetic attempt at running a football club ,wasting money on poor decisions signing 2 Belgium strikers on 4 year contracts who played a dozen games between em , not season ticket holders refusing to invest in a badly run football club.
He might not have performed for us, but Cosgrove was on paper a decent signing at the time - 31 goals in 79 for Aberdeen and 8 (in 33) for the Plymouth team who were Champions the season before. Like all signings, its a gamble that can work out or flop - look at Dion Charles at Huddersfield last season who reportedly cost £750k and didn't score once.
