RE: 70 kph isn't 45 mph though Maybe, just maybe, the 70kph quoted is quoted because it's a nice round number and not the exact speed to the exact mmph. Just a thought.
http://www.flickr.com/photos/schlapp/400788333/

RE: 70 kph isn't 45 mph though I'm at a loss as to why you want to argue the point. The simple fact is that riders in the Keirin do not reach speeds of 50 mph which is an incredible speed and way beyond them. They certainly aren't at anywhere near 50 mph when the motorcyclist releases them which was the original point. If you want, to make you happy, I will say that they reach speeds of 50 mph. It's not in any way true, but if you want me to say it for you I will.
btw The 70 kph thing is rounded up. It's rare if ever that any cyclist on the track gets to speeds of above 40 mph.
Been to Crete in 45 celcius When there i got talking to James, Jeremy and Timmy when i was out with our lass! hen they heard i was a Barnsley fan they asked about you! What was it they said ????? yeh, "Dave, come over soon, we are looking forward to not being able to sit down. We'll supply the vaseline".
Dunt worry about it It'll be back on here at half eleven Saturday night just to show it's not bothered.
RE: 70 kph isn't 45 mph though I've never said they reach 50mph, I said they wouldn't be far off. 45mph isn't far off in my book. Agreed that they aren't paced at anywhere near that though.
