Jay With the way he played on Saturday, he was almost a combination of the two. He was picking up the ball on halfway, ripping the fullback to pieces and either shooting (sometimes wildly) or playing very good passes to the strikers who perhaps should have done better. But to add to that and perhaps something the others didn't show too often, his defensive workrate was astonishing. Believe me, the performance I saw from him on Saturday was THE best solo performance I've seen from any player during our time in League One, and only a brilliant save from Ricketts denied him the goal that his performance really did deserve.
RE: Aye - move Gerrard to right back and what do you get? According to Rodney Marsh he didn't go to full back he played wide right midfield in a 3-4-3. I was too exited to notice personally.
