Yes, it is going to be hell I should imagine. Nowt worse than being in an airport when there are wholesale delays.
RE: Is there something to be cautious about? time will tell, but I presume they're not causing chaos for a laugh. If they think there's a 10% chnace of a plane being blown up surely they have to do all they can to stop it. Occasionally the intelligence will be wrong but whats the alternative? Just cross your fingers?
Where are you going Tina? I agree it would make it an inconvenience and a boring flight without a book etc....not sure why you need your camera during the flight though! You'll just have to hope they have a good film showing. I always have a big bottle of water with me when I fly, I'd just be bothering the flight attendants all the time for water.
No, but after the debacle of last "terror bust" I hope the intel is better.
The Boy who cried Wolf.

Sri Lanka We have been before, but pre Tsunami. It's a beautiful country and the people are lovely but the Tamil Tigers are making life miserable for peaceful people. The north of Sri Lanka is out of bounds and is land mined to the hilt. The infrastructure is slowly but surely getting back to what it was (not great) before the Tsunami. The people are desperate for the tourists to return as they rely so heavily on tourism to make a living. We loved it last time and felt it was time to return but it's hard to let go of Greece.
RE: Good debate on that subject now on 5 live. Flights from Bulgaria suspended?! Good job it was last week we came back and not this week then!
RE: Good debate on that subject now on 5 live. Yes, I thought about you when I heard it just now. I remember you saying you were going to Bulgaria.
Definately Every single one of them you know! Not even heard anything about those arrested other than they are "British born"
RE: Good debate on that subject now on 5 live. Aw...thanks for that Tina! When do you go to Sri Lanka? I'll keep a further eye on the news from there.
Next Wednesday Maybe the security alert will have been downgraded by then. Have to stop off in Dubai this time, unlike last time when we went straight through. Flying with Royal Emirates and apparently it's a 3 hour stop with access to the Dubai duty free lounge. Matt is quaking in his boots at the thought of me in there with the credit cards! lolff
RE: "What Muslim threat" You know who you are. There is a terrorist threat, as there always has been. I don't hold this against muslims....it is an extremist threat. As yet all I've heard about those arrested is that they are "British born" - the statement just now from Chief of Police at Scotland Yard is that he said he is "not prepared to say where the people are from"....good to see you have inside information then! Another quote from the Chief of Police as I write "This is not about any community, this is not about any faith....it may be about people who MASQUERADE within a faith"
Nice try mate but................. .....of course they are the extremists but it's 100% because they are muslims and that's how they identify their cause. I'm sure we could rattle on about this for an hour but I think you know as well as I do that you have a pretty thin argument there. Incedentally my daughter seems to bring em out. She was sat on a coach in the middle of London while the bombs were going off and is due to fly home from holiday next week.
