Should have had a couple more goals, rode our luck in the box for some of their attacks. But 3 points and third in the league…. I’ll take that.
Was it Burton where the most obvious hand-ball in the history of the game, which should have been a penalty, wasn’t given?
Shoulder injuries now regarded as one of the most difficult to treat I believe. It’s a complex joint, which makes rehab difficult and chance of relapse is high. Even surgical outcomes don’t always result in full recovery. Bellingham has been suffering with shoulder issues for absolutely ages and was a factor his “downturn” in form in the second half of last season and at the euros. I was surprised he didn’t have surgery in the summer.
Fair play to Okeefe, myself and plenty of others criticised his inclusion but that second half played very well, both defensively and offensively. Beautiful cross for the winner too
Did he not see the (non) handball at their place a couple of seasons ago? When Brayford decided he was a keeper?
Made very hard work of that, but I think it was a deserved three points on the road in the end. And considering the last couple of trips, I can't complain about that. Of course, you want to see them play well and win, but it's another three on the board and sets us up nicely for two Oakwell fixtures now. I thought Barry was very good again, Maël seems to be finding some form and Earl is much better in that position. Corey too. He played well. Great cross for the winner. Nice for Humphrys to grab that winning goal. Should give him a boost. And another impressive display from Benson who I'd love us to find a starting role for, as he's far too good to be a bit-parter. Although I suppose, let's see if he can remain fit before any grand plans. No errors from Slonina either! Yeah, Robbo was done for the goal but it's a perfect cross and run (then header) from the opposition so sometimes it happens. Glad to see Luca looked OK at full-time, and fingers crossed for Fabio also. You Reds.
A deserved 3 points today, defended well when we had to and created more chances. Still looking a bit disjointed at times but I'll settle for the work rate and desire shown yoday.
A much derserved three points, in my opinion. However, I was in full sulk mode when the equaliser went in, 'Hissy Fits R Us!' Humphreys giving us a little glimpse of what he may be capable of when fully fit.
Cracking result after Tuesday. Didn’t expect a perfect performance - and it was great to see us scrap for it. Confidence boost going into next Saturday. You can definitely see some patterns and a way of playing - even if it doesn’t always come off. Hopefully we kick on. I can accept a kicking in the Carabou cup if we hit some league form.
Not his biggest fan myself but one thing that can't be questioned is his ability to cross a ball in. His set piece delivery was very good away at crawley too from what I remember
Love hissy fits r us! Time for a glass of white wine or two and the enjoyment that we won and the dee dars lost!
Yeah exactly, and in other words, boll*x to 'em. I know its hard to deal with but how many times does it happen to us as well!.
Okeefe was caught out time after time defensively, a nightmare especially in the first half. One trick pony always cuts in never goes down the line. Surly we must have someone better. Felt for Jalo banged the shoulder again didn't want to come off in the end, better safe than sorry. Hopefully just a scare but doesn't look good for his long term if he can't strengthen that area. Lofthouse deserves to be getting more game time than he is. We played considerably better in the second half but to be fair not hard to do after a poor first half against a team heading out of this league.
