I thought we deserved it. We were the better team and created the most chances. That's not to say we played well, but we played better than the opposition and scored more goals.
When we play with a bit of tempo we can look decent but we seem reluctant to do that enough and would rather slow the game down and go backwards.
I totally get what your saying but I still think the worst of the bad ones can’t be worserer than this bad one
I think Phillips and Watters seem to come into the season a little heavy. Both will come good within the next month I reckon.
I think we are winning games due to the weakness of the opposition soon as we come up against anyone half decent we don't . I'm glass half full kind of guy but we're swum the channel been 5th and only 3pts off the top. People ask me what about us and just say I've still no idea thought Tuesday would me some clarity but it just confused me more and today just the same.
You can't forget that some of the worst games may not necessarily be better than bad ones, even back in the worse old days when we weren't in the old 4th division. Anyway, can't be messing around any more on here, time to not avoid going for beer and curry.
We're a work in progress,5th position and not really at top speed. This shows how average this league is.The new lads will gell and only get better. If we're in top six come January I'd like to think we have some money to spend to reinforce up to May.
He was playing in this league 4 years ago and should have been able to demonstrate any kind of ability since then.
At least Blackpool and Jordan Rhodes aren't in any sort of form ahead of next week's ga........wait, what?
I seem to be finishing every game saying thank God we’ve got Liam Roberts. Even after the 3-1 defeats, as they could easily have been 6 or 7 if not for Roberts’ outstanding saves. I’ve realised now that there is no pattern whereby we play well one game and then poor the next, we are the same every game - poor service to the strikers, weak in midfield and totally disorganised in defence. The only difference is who we are playing. Any team with decent strikers and a more organised team will beat us, but fortunately there are a lot of poor teams in League One who cannot finish chances. The only anomaly is Port Vale. That was a freak result. They could easily have been 3 up before we scored. If we played them next match we wouldn’t win 7-0. Collins has a lot of work to do and so far I’m seeing little improvement in the performances. Fortunately for us we have the aforementioned Roberts and Cole is on a right old goalscoring streak. Next week we are playing a good team. We will need to improve and stop giving chances to the opposition to win that one, so let’s see.
Imho...a decent performance. No more than that, our opponents had plenty of possession and looked neat n tidy, until they got to the final 3rd. If it had been a draw I would have said yea ok.....but it was a welcome 3 points....I actually didn't they would score and probably wouldn't have if we had a full complement on at the time. Man of the match...styles first half, Robert's second. Some good back up in the shape of Kane too. Robert's making 2 to 3 excellent saves per match is now the normal, which is great...I'm still concerned we are too pedestrian in and out of possession and need to up the tempo. That was probably a good starting11 and all did ok...we need to up our application please....we will worry some teams but we will struggle against high press neat teams, until Connell gets back.
Yeah.. we are beating the poor teams, which is good because when we come up against decent attacking sides we crumble. If we can stay top 6-8 up to the next window then bring in a couple of commanding CBs then we've a chance.
We'll take the result today but we looked very laboured when in possession' a lot of backward and sideways passing with little creativity' 2 excellent finishes though' onwards and upwards. Ps Phillips was a passenger again.
