    I'm not sure whether we didn't get any bids for cole, whether we turned bids down for him or whether cole himself chose to stay here but him staying here till the summer and seeing what's what then is absolutely the best decision for his career.

    A 16 goal striker sounds great but one who continues that and ends the season as a 20 or even 25 goal striker is so much more valuable and out of contract means he can demand higher wages if he leaves. Also means that if we get promoted he has the option of staying at a club he knows. Best result for all concerned imo

    Would like to think if we go up he’ll stay with a decent pay rise. If not he’ll no doubt get another chance in the Championship and will undoubtably get a contract that will secure his long term future.
