I agree that the tools are there we just need someone who knows how to handle them.

I can't agree more... we play some good football but on so many occasions frustratingly over hit the ball into the spaces.... we need a McPhail, Howard or Hourihane from somewhere.

It was frustrating especially from Kane as he went from having probably his best game of the season to his worst today.

Ok, so I’ve just got round to watching the short highlights.

It was never a foul on Roberts in a million years.

Couple that with the absolute sitter they missed, we weren’t only fortunate to escape with a point, but actually properly jammy.

Hopefully Michael Carrick has watched Roberts’ last couple of performances, not the first dozen or so, and will leave him where he is when deciding how to cover the goalkeeping position. Did their first two keepers get called up for the African and Asian cups in the end?

    EDIT

Dieng was called up for Senegal but Glover wasn’t for Australia. We should be ok

Exactly how I saw it. It's pretty clear to me that Williams is easily our best right wing-back and he needs to play there. He has the pace to beat people and get crosses into the box. O'Keeffe and Cotter both showed early promise, but both have since disappointed. Cotter often finds it hard to beat the opposition defenders and O'Keeffe doesn't even try. It was so frustrating to see him do so little with a lot of the ball. Also, as others have said, Kane was very disappointing today, after some excellent displays in recent games.

Indeed, we re-cycle more then Greta Thunberg, surely our centre backs and goalkeeper see more of the ball then the rest of the team put together?

Last season, Williams' pace moved us up the pitch, and when we were playing well his link up with Phillips was a big part of it. If we can get a functional back three behind Cadden, Kane, Connell, Phillips, Williams, McAtee and Cole then we will comfortably make the play offs and have a chance of winning them.

At the moment, we have to put a wing back at centre back to provide pace to a defence that cannot win any physical battles. It undermines everything. Probably the iceberg that Duff saw on the horizon.

I think their no7 holds Roberts shirt just long enough to inhibit his ability to jump high enough.
