Average performance but brilliant result. It was never going to be pretty there so to win with no injuries is all that matters. You could see Tedic was a really talented player earlier in the season. His first touch & hold up play are superb but he didn’t work hard & couldn’t score a goal so hopefully yesterdays done loads for his confidence. I’d expect him to be first choice centre forward by the end of the season. I can see why Duff likes Watters, willing runner every time. Just feel like he lacks a bit of the quality the other have in front of goal. Thought Thomas had his worst game for us & Phillips was pretty poor too but good to have loads of options off the bench now.
After we got bet to Charlton in January a remember coming out n ringing my dad to say we’ll play worse this season and win…….yesterday was evidence of that statement
I'd definitely go back to Cole and Norwood for Tuesday night and press them like we did at Hillsborough.
When we were looking at the fixtures for March. At this stage taking 10 points out of a possible 12 . Wow we would have took that at the start of March. A draw on Tuesday wouldn't be a disaster for either teams.
If we could beat Wednesday on Tuesday and Accrington could somehow turn Plymouth over then i would start thinking second place could be ours.
Maybe not a disaster, but draws aren't much use to us. We need to be throwing the kitchen sink at it every game
Just watched the game on Ifollow - wouldn't be surprised if we had defenders out with bad necks amount of time ball was pumped up into the air. Would hate to watch Wycombe every week
Bit too tired to post last night - four hour journeys both ways punctuated by hold-ups for accidents on the motorways and what seemed to be national 'wnakers driving in the middle lane on an empty motorway day' - but that was one excellent result which for me showed what Duff has built these last 7-8 months. Our run has been founded on the superb midfield three/five who were all below par yesterday on a pitch and against an opposition which also played its part in nullifying them but the defence, exceptionally well marshalled by the stand-out Skipper, held firm. That and the fact that he now has a bench full of options to change the game enabled Duff to expertly ring the changes and pull out the trump card of the one player on the day on either side able to run at and beat men on the ground in Luke Thomas. Luke's brilliant work and cross to Tedic sending us Reds into raptures! Special mentions to RADA for the work they have done with the Wycombe squad so that every miniscule contact with any one of them results in an Oscar-worthy dramatic collapse to the ground, the referee Mr Breakspear who will no doubt be inconsolable today that despite all his efforts yesterday his 9 match unbeaten run at Adams Park has come to an end and for top-man Tedic for breaking his meagre 714 days goal drought!
