Actually I'm pretty sure that there's a point after which the scoreline stands if there's an abandonment, but I'm not sure if it depends on the score. I remember when Colin deliberately got five players sent off for the Blunts to get an abandonment against West Brom when getting hammered, and the result stood.
I'm remembering that differently. The game was "awarded" as 3=0 win to West Brom, wasn't is? Although the score line may have been 3-0 when it was abandoned, but I remember 3-0 being the default scoreline if a team does something to cut the match short...
He has been ok this half just not as good as first half. I think he has run out of steam a bit though
I think you're right actually. 3-0 is definitely the default scoreline, and it was just a coincidence that West Brom were leading by that exact score. Does that mean that theoretically a team losing 8-0 could try to get the match abandoned, thus improving their goal difference by 5? I'm guessing there would be a raft of other consequences if it were ever to happen, but it would be interesting. I wouldn't put something like that past Colin!
In that case, I wonder if the goalscorers got to keep their goals in the record books, or they got scrubbed off as the 3-0 result was technically a forfeit?
Good team performance something to build on. Bit of a disappointing cameo from norwood hopefully he improves.
Really good result. Yes I would expect us to beat a side who were two divisions below us last season if we are to make a effort to get back out of this league. However the performance and result will hopefully bring a lot of confidence into the group.
Wasn't able to watch it but sounds like a brilliant performance. Well done Reds, hope we follow it up with a similar performance on Saturday
