Well....ermmmm....errrrrmmmm...
that was technically the worst sinfully boring 45 mins I've seen for a while. We never looked like scoring or posing them any problems...passing poor, energy poor application poor....shooting non existent.
We look sooooo poor, hope Mr Badger decided on a meal with the Mrs because this is rubbish...in fact if they were playing in that cottage garden at the back of the house ...I'd be shutting the curtains.

 

Remember when we used to win every week? I miss them days.

He’s been pretty woeful tonight but singling him out after the abomination that was Herbie Kane in that first half is exceptionally harsh. At least Styles occasionally found a red shirt.

 

What the heck is that half time noise? Is it live music?? Can’t tell

 

I think the the Wycombe defence have bossed Cole, McAtee drops deeper naturally so sees more of the ball.
But another half of getting down the sides to not much affect. And midfield triangles.. but again no shots.

 

Collins had better start putting that Uefa Pro Licence qualification to use...

I singled him out because cotter was in a great position then a ball under no pressure thar I could have played he puts it out for a goal kick then gives cotter grief to say you should have got that. Lad wouldn't have got to it on a motor bike.

 

Stayed home today due to illness and watching it on the box. My god we are so pedestrian in all areas. Styles may as well be sat with me from his first half performance. We need to up the tempo or we will lose this one with Wycombe hitting us on the break.

 

Unpopular opinion which won’t be liked.

I don’t think Herbie Kane is a footballer. He has no pace, gives the ball away too frequently, doesn’t progress the ball forward fast enough, 9/10 set piece deliveries are toilet, doesn’t tackle, is positionally inept.

if we’re looking to improve, take him out of the team. We’d be better off with the young fella Yoganathan in there. At least he seems to care enough to put a shift in, unlike this Charlatan.

 

Can't find anything positive in that first half. Even from a Wycombe attack in which they more or less committed everyone forward, and we had 3 or 4 players busting a gut to break away, and we can't be bothered to venture forward.

if Collins doesn't make changes at half time then he's not a manager I want. that was so poor that players need to see accountability for it. I thought we had a good midfield but Kane and Styles absolute tosh tonight.

 

Just don’t understand the pedestrian approach, when we upped the tempo Saturday against Lincoln we looked a different team and actually took the lead. Perhaps the players are all bolloxed after the ten minutes running around on Saturday

Stats on our game, this thread, and the weather make me chuffin glad I chose what I did.

 

The most insipid half of football I've watched in quite some time. Both Styles and Kane well below par.

I'd do as the second half at Lincoln, that's bring off Styles, replace with Cosgrove and bring McAtee back behind the front two.

A change is needed now, not on 70 minutes.
