I'm disappointed with that, as I was hoping that Chelsea and John Terry would prove to be the guilty culprit!

I've not seen the papers, but is it thought that Liverpool players/officials were doing the fixing or their Hungarian equivalents?

    Sickening? Really?

There's always been an element of match fixing in football. Ever since the early days of the professional game. Hardly surprising.

The game in England under scrutiny is the Liverpool vs Drebecen in 2009. It's all focussed on the Hungarian team's goalie who has already been convicted of match fixing and banned for two years. Unlikely that any players on massive wages could be tempted to get involved.

So there may have been match fixing on the part of the goalie, but Liverpool only managed to score 1 goal! nice going.
