Sorry mate but that last non tackle leading to stokes equaliser was a lack of desire . Not bad play , not wrong decision but a lack of desire . If he’d even tried to win that ball I’d have given benefit of doubt but watch it back yourself and see if you come up with same decision . There’s Ian incident at Derby which was similar but didn’t cost us , goal wise anyway
He’s quick but can’t seem to finish so I’m not sure about how worthwhile that is. also he should be chasing shadows and the rest in the last ten minutes. That is the minimum requirement. I don’t think we get that from him. Victor has half the raw talent but double the application. Cole plays like he feels he doesn’t need to.
Fair enough but if their player hadn't scored a worldy like Quinoa did too, we'd all be happy. I just think Cole is on the very edge of a **** season coaching and playing wise.
It was awful , but he’s a young upcoming player and the nerves may have got to him and mistakes are forgivable and if that cost us so be it . But it had another chance to be cleared and a half hearted effort by an experienced player who’s desire has come into question in a few games is not a Acceptable imo .
Maybe so but the Stoke lad still had a lot to do and I'd much rather have Cole hanging about on the halfway line and leave the defending to those that haven't been able to do it all season.
I agree about coaching but coaching doesn’t include desire and that what was lacking as far as the goal conceded was concerned .
If you were at the match you would have blamed the manager. Stoke were all over our goal 2nd half, one eventually was going to go in we saw it happen against Boro, against Derby. I'm sure he's a great guy but he's not what we need manager wise.
Disgraceful from Cole, supposed to be fighting for our lives and he does that. Are there no other fit centre forwards at the club that can take his place on the bench?! Massive kick in the teeth, that could easily flatten us for the season now. Gap between us and Reading is more likely to widen than close as Fulham bring their goal bonanza to Oakwell
To be fair my initial support for Cole was to the he should never play again and he's a waste of oxygen posts which I personally don't agree with.
Didn’t need to be at the match to see that I saw it from the comfort of my sofa. I was starting to hope luck would see us out. After all they had hit the post twice and gone close several times and we still hadn’t conceded. What was I thinking Wonder if our scoreboard can do double figures on Saturday?
I'm terribly sorry and will edit the post immediately it was posted in the heat of the moment and without thinking and given your current circumstances I'm mortified you read it and are upset by something I've written please accept my humble apologies.
Tbf I blame his dad who has probably filled his head that teams are full of players like Kanchelskis and Cantona who if you just stand still will put the ball onto your foot in the six yard box and you’ve nothing else to to .
Cole just selects the wrong option. The ball comes to him from Gomes's scuffed clearance and he tries to turn his man rather than just boot it into touch. Awful decision from a striker who hasn't been playing much. In his head he probably thought he had more time and could come away with the ball, relieving the pressure. A very frustrating end to the match but try not to go too hard on him.
Managed to miss from on the line at Bristol city, missed at sitter at 2-0 against Sheffield utd, missed a big chance at 1-0 at home to Hull. When it comes to the league this season, Victor is 3x better than Cole. Andersen is level with him in all competitions.
