Brilliant post. Welcome to Cas? COYF!

Incidentally, do not miss out on the Chippy in Cas centre. Fish Chips and Curry (yes…..what’s wrong with that!) to die for.

Like a few on here I’m not particularly bothered about a ‘match day experience’ at Oakwell. The thing is though, it’s so good at Castleford, it draws you in. I’d never dream of buying a pint or food at Oakwell, but at Cas, there I am buying and doing stuff simply because the atmosphere is so good. I’ve walked away from Wheldon Road thinking, how the hell have they managed to part me from my money for this!!

    Cracking result yesterday incidentally.

Agree. Some of the Man City infrastructure around their Fan Zone is relatively simple stuff, just done well.

I guess our biggest issue is losing the car parking spaces and also how long would it take to pay for itself.

£750k spent on this, or towards a decent L1 striker. It’s a tough call.

For now - get the decent catering vans in. Less investment but less hassle.

I must admit I did expect a closer matchup, Rovers just weren't at the races. Closer than the last match I went to though, Keighley v London Skolars which ended 96-0 (and the locals were still moaning because they didnt get the ton!)
Ive been watching League for a long time, but apart from Sheffield Eagles in their Super League/cup win days I haven't really aligned with any team, preferring to groundhop to whichever game takes my fancy on the day.
But yes, the Cas offering is special and as you say it does draw you in. Over 8000 there yesterday and I can understand why.
