Perhaps. But I do remember him asking for a wide attacking player and at least one striker. We’ve been let down, but possibly so has he.
And nothing will change in January either.Get used to it,these charlatans aren't going to spend money on a new keeper, two new central defenders, right wing back, left wing back cover, central attacking midfielder, proper finisher.
Drove 250 miles to take my boy to his first Barnsley game as an early Xmas present. Just ordered a Real Madrid strip to click and collect from Argos. I’ll treat myself to an IPTV subscription.
He's a terrible coach not one player as improved under his coaching and the better ones we had have gone backwards. They don't even get the basics right they played today like a team who've never met before and were thrown together at the last minute for a works charity game and had half an hour's coaching from the team lady. If there was a plan on how to play today they either aren't capable of playing that way or decided they couldn't be bothered so either the coach is asking them to do things they can't and hasn't recognised that after 6 months of coaching them or they won't do what he says and he hasn't the balls to make them or drop them. Neither option is acceptable.
First off, that’s about as bad a performance I’ve seen from a BFC side at home. And I’m 43 next year. Some of those players should be ashamed. Some, they just aren’t good enough. A few didn’t even look fussed. And whilst I don’t have Clarke as high up on the ‘blame’ list as some, it’s difficult to defend him either after that one. Abhorrent football, clueless tactics. I’m sure he will be the fall guy, when it’s deemed necessary. Just like Neill was. And then Conor will take charge. And the issues (that are way deeper, far beyond that role) will continue, and Conor will become vilified. As a club, I’d be very worried right now. Not about the results. They’ve been garbage for a while and it’s obvious to all that this is very likely a nothing season. I’d be worrying that there was about 5,000 fans there today, at best. Despite offers on. And judging by comments from many people I know, supporters, they’ve had enough too. Losing 4-0 to Orient at home is a rather fitting end to a disastrous year at Oakwell. Have a great Christmas everyone. With those you love and care about, and vice versa! x
You forgot to mention that he was probably our only player that put tackles in and won the ball, the team was an absolute shambles today and he was a victim of that.
Its not just bad coaching I agree the whole club is a mess every single thing about the club stinks of decline and decay but change as to start somewhere and I'd start with Clarke
Ok, what was his plan today? Because the last time I saw a Barnsley team this lost it was with the Swedish games teacher in charge.
I've witnessed abject surrender at Championship level but that's a first at league one level. Today was never going to be a pretty game do the basics right dig in everything you expect of a Barnsley side. The days we had the battling Barnsley tag and I used to get a bit annoyed thinking we are better than that oh for them days again.
much much worse. Top 3 worst performances ever. At no point did any of our team other than Cotter look like professional players.
