Lembikisa demonstrating quite clearly why O’Keefe though limited is the best we have by some way so need to support him.

I sort of understand why he took O’Keefe off but come on send that Lembikisa back he’s truly truly woeful! Nearly cost us so many times in both full back positions

Its great....we have 3 points and scored 4 but why do I feel so down?
I just feel that we probably have a maximum of 70 minutes in us, in virtually all our games. Then interdispersed with the other other brief pub esk errors, we have 20 mins of proper Sunday morning football....not tracking runners.......
brain fart passing....unable to do the most simple and basic of things....I just wanna scream at times.
Thank god for Mark Roberts is all I can say!
    Other positives
Excellent performances from Robbo and Dkd...and well done Max Watters for that goal from nothing.

Someone update me on Cotter's whereabouts, please. At the moment, he's looking like a f*****g galactico.....

Hate putting players down but Lembikisa looked totally lost today, hope he can pull it around.

Don't get me started on Rodriguez....He gets the ball in loads of space with all the time in the world. He looks up and sees a space where we have no red shirt anywhere near. Yet he still decides to pass to there.

Reminded me of when Alf Stewart was ill in Home And Away about 25 years ago and was seeing people who weren't there like his dead wife Elsa.

At the time of posting it was 2 points, 2 very late goals from Charlton. So stop with the personal attacks.

    Interesting stats there YT.

When you look at O'keeffes pass completion is decent, but he does see a lot of the ball I guess.
It's the ones he gets wrong that stand out unfortunately. After the error on the last match, he almost did the same with a really weak back pass today. Just needs to concentrate a bit more maybe.

It’s not concentration it’s a lack of composure.

It’s a close call if he was. O’Keeffe was disastrous defensively and was rightly hooked at half time. The trouble being the lad that replaced him was just as disastrous!

As I’ve just said on another thread, they will quite possibly both have to start at Charlton - which is a scary proposition.

Personal narrative? I like Corey. On form he’s a good provider of chances - but he was awful today.

That goal from Watters. If only Odejayi had made the same choice at Wembley in the FA Cup semi. Watters was under more pressure as well.

Give him credit for a nicely hit goal like that with limited game time recently.

Am visiting family in south Wales today so didn't get to the game. Looking at the stats it looks like we were a bit lucky to win and indeed we won thanks to ruthless finishing. Is that a fair assessment? I'm also getting the feeling that we defended poorly again :(

Still, only 4 points outside the playoffs and on a 3-match winning run. :)

You can't be serious? When Lincoln started playing it about instead of just hoofing it, we went to absolute cack. Shambolic defending. It feels like you're just having yet another dig at Mael, you'd dig him right out if it was him who chested it before slipping, or being caught so far out of possession with a lad who has pace to burn, or just a **** header - and rightly he would deserve said ballhocking had he made those errors.

Okeefe has been poor lately, but my word he looks like Dani Alves when compared with Dexter. No chance we can rely on him for holding onto a lead or playing a full half, let alone a full 90. If anywhere just stick Dexter up top far away from the defence, though on today's viewing he can't hold onto a ball either, I can understand why Rotherham fans didn't rate him. Don't like picking on new players but he was absolutely disastrous, like a deer in headlights, kept turning the ball over in dangerous areas!

Another win though, 3 on the spin. Such a shame about conceding 3. Saw the staff were all smiles at 4-1 and then seeing their faces at the end, told it's own story. Fingers crossed we can maintain this run of wins and make a late push!

Thought Benson & Watters did well when coming on, even combining for our 4th. Completely understood why he did make the Okeefe change, hindsight is a wonderful thing, but genuinely on today's display, I'd just risk Okeefe on a yellow until Cotter is back. No way is Dexter an improvement on Lofthouse, right or left back. Barrett did okay too other than being beat and then heading a poor clearance, though it was from the same attack, so overall I think he did alright for his league debut considering his age & experience, so fair play to him.

Rodrigues did okay in spells and then in others, I think the pressure just got to him, had so much time & space at one point and just hoofed it straight back to their defence, though it's to expected from a new younger signing who's played nowhere near this level before. Second time he had it, he learnt though, ran with the ball & won us a throw in.

DKD was incredible. Humphrys had a hand in 3 goals (iirc) and I'm glad Gent finally got a goal. Watters goal was terrific, a proper strikers goal. Hopefully gives him some confidence going forward

Defence frightens me half to death at times but as long as we keep outscoring teams...

On to the next! Come on you reeeeds.

I agree with Rodrigues - I think the pressure got to him. But then he quickly learnt from that mistake and did ok then. Thing is, with a bit of confidence and intensity from him, he could have broke through twice for me, but didn’t.

It’s not the actual defence for me - it’s the ‘unit’ that doesn’t work. All 3 defenders actually played well in my eyes (apart from Earl being left for dead on pace). It’s the rest of the team who lack the defensive prowess to bolster the defence - that’s what costs us each game.

Also, whilst great to see MDG and Earl go forward with the ball at times - it’s actually zaps their game energy too often, which means when it’s late on, their fitness suffers at the back.
