When was the last time we scored 7 in a league ( or even cup) game. I’ve been following since 89 and I can’t recall any. Few 5’s and a few 7’s against (wba more than once) but can’t remember any that we’ve scored 7 in.

Huddersfield wasn’t it? And they got a consolation.

The famous victory over Huddersfield was 7-1 wasn’t it?

7-1 at home to Huddersfield, November 1998.
The first opening day hat-trick by a Barnsley player since Brian Joicey in August 1978, a 4-2 home win against Halifax.

Workington on a **** tuesday night I think. Seem to remember John Peachey scoring. Maybe someone with a better memory than me can confirm?

That was a Wednesday night, at Workington, April 1976. Peachey scored a hat-trick, Peter Price 2, Bobby Doyle & John Saunders got the goals.

Kind of amusing though I'm not sure taking the Pi$$ out of your own customers is a great marketing strategy.

    Risky I agree.

Although it seems to be well taken on Twitter.

If you give it, you’ve got to take it etc.

    But still very risky.

I picked up on this straight away. What a state we are in off with thos that run the social media accounts deciding to take the piss out of our fans. Those in the media department need a ******* reality check because despite today's fantastic result we do need to sign a striker.

Really? Cole, Watters. Shaw and Dallas looked excellent when they came on. Marsh and Jalo part of the squad. So long as everyone remains fit, I think we're fine.

Shaw put himself about and had some good touches and looked the most lively of the other 3 strikers. .

Dallas took his goal very well though. One chance and took it.
