    McCarthy keeps playing players into trouble, selling them short and causing a turnover. And it's cost another goal.

    I had a feeling scraping wins against a very poor, slow Cheltenham and an experimental Boro side had papered over the actual situation.

    The start to the season is no surprise to me. Its why we didn't renew ST’s. The total product off and on field isnt good enough. But we seem to have the ability to create our own problems also on and off the field. Never has the judge us by our actions been so relevant for BFC.

    Pointless sideways passing, followed by a lump up field to lose possession.

    That's a bit unfair, we've got two tactics:
    The first is that Collins gives it to a centre half who simply pumps it long, not even looking where our forwards are.
    The second is Collins gives it to a centre half, who plays it to a midfielder who has dropped short, who plays it back to the centre half, who simply pumps it long, not even looking where our forwards are.

    Very easy afternoon for Derby's costly and experienced side.
    We look ok in bits...Benson looks tidy but we have a long way to go this season and our coach needs time to forge a team.
    We still look toothless up front.
