How is a defensive midfielder who has scored 4 goals in a 100 odd games and not played for nearly 2 years a replacement for Conor? A replacement for Morsy maybe. To replace permanent players with loans you will eventually run out of players unless I'm missing summat. We already have more loan players than we can play.
I'd say less but we're four points away from the play offs after 27 games. Survival will not be an achievement.
I just said potentially decent players who hecky may get something from not direct replacements, to get another conor will take some time and luck or lots of money. My view is if they want to go chuff em I will continue watching my team. Obviously I would have preferred to keep them including Fletcher Isgrove and Brownhill but not to be not going to sulk over it.
Between now and next Tuesday the club may go and sign two or three very good players on permanent deals. Watch this space.
There's no sulking from me. Part of the strategy was to end the reliance on loans and only loan players we have an intention to sign so it's not unreasonable to test James fitness first if we are still pursuing that plan. In terms of players wanting to go the same blokes last 'exclusive' was that Wednesdsy were signing Hourihane for a million quid.
Who's ripping him? The sadness of the modern world is that everyone lives their lives in sound bites it's all black and white in fact life is lived in shades of grey. In terms of the initial comparison I was happy when we signed Jack Hunt who is a good player ah us time here turned out to be poor as his ability was restricted by injuries. I'm happyy we have signed Matty and the same time it would not be particularly surprising if he didn't encounter similar issues.
Sorry didn't mean or intend to intimate you were sulking as I know that's not the case. I see the loan players as a short term help to get us to a summer of rebuilding, shame but it happens. If conor stays for the remainder of the season then James looks to be a good addition.
Ryan Williams has managed it fine. Just give the lad a chance hes a really talented player. So disrespectful to call him a 'Jack Hunt' when all that team were in a huge rut and spiralling downwards. It was a terrible team for a long term injured player to come back to. Mattys coming into a great set up and a team in momentum its a good move for both us and him. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Not as simple as that though is it, we could make some ridiculous signings with that money but there's more to it - I'm totally for wage structures in any organisation, never mind football, if someone is paid a lot more than everyone else it causes tension. The key to our success has mainly been because of how together the dressing room is.
Absolutely not . Stand still and you will go backwards . If you are happy watching us in league 1 then fair play, but personally I have higher expectations than that . We aren't friggin Walsall.
Jack Hunt Is a good player. No disrespect from me. If we had signed him on a season loan in August it would make more sense. It's a big ask in January where he will have to make an immediate impact. All our players seem to want to leave and aren't being replaced so perhaps not such a 'happy' ship. I stand by the comparison. Don't be such a drama Queen. In terms of Ryan Williams he has started few games and is mainly coming on for 10 minutes to build up his fitness. Is that the role you see for Matty? If so that's different I'd assumed he would be a regular starter.
