I watch us whatever league were in tbh.

My expectations this year was safety ,on that I am absolutely delighted we are almost safe.
If we finish in top half of table I think it's been an amazing feat .
But whatever happens i hoped the players would give their best wherever we finished and on that up to now I'm ecstatic.
But i hope for progression whilst firstly fighting for our status without endangering our financial Well-being.

"Handbrake" - that's the plan. Park the bus for the next 19 games, 19 0-0 draws, 19 more points. Pi55 easy this survival game.

I see him as a very talented player who Hecky will use as he see's fit.

Id rather sign a proven title winning Championship quality player like Matty James on a 6 month loan despite his injury than blow 500k+ on a League One or Two form player who turns out not to be good enough. Same goes for a young loan who has never played and inconsistent such as Kent.

We might still take the risk on a Moncur type or young loan but at least we have Matty who is the first proven player we have signed in a long time. Not only is he proven he is still looking to make a career in a higher league so fits in with our recruitment policy.

We would all watch us whatever league we are in . But at the moment we are 8th in the championship within touching distance of the promise land .My god this does not happen very often and this is real ,we shouldn't throw it away without giving it our very best shot at promotion . Did Burnley think safety first? . God loves a trier !

You made the comparison with Ryan Williams. Given our current central midfield options which boil down to Josh Scowen any player we sign needs to be up and running straightaway.

I'd rather us look to sign players to develop and enjoy over the long term like Conor and Winnall and Scowen and Roberts. You prefer the short term fix of loans. That's fair enough we are all entitled to an opinion

I worry about his injury record but at Christmas he was linked to a couple of premiership clubs.......

Just this morning he was linked to Forest so lets assume they were one of the offers he turned down to join us (instant hero picking us over Nottingham?).......

He signed a four year deal and hasn't played for the best part of two years of it (for those wanting us to hand out four year contracts that's the risk) and he's still one more season after this.........

I am saying that because I have seen him play a number of times and he is an excellent player.

Have you seen him play following his injury? Has it slowed him down is he as Ggressive in the tackle has it impacted his confidence. Last time I saw him a couple of years ago he was excellent I haven't seen him recently so don't know how his injury has impacted him.
