I'd say James can easily last 90 mins.. Just that to keep Kane happy he gets on ever week.. Both good players..
This thread is akin to going for a Tom Hank when a supermodel is offering 24 hours of top class shagging. It’s clearly mental.
The only answer to the OP is surely- VI keeps picking him when central midfield is the position we are currently spoilt for choice.why would he if he didn’t think James was the right man? Bit of a loaded question for Whitey - what sort of bloke is MJ to have around the club?
But this is what you said in your OP He didn't mis-place nearly every pass, as the stats show. You are entitled to an opinion, absolutely, but in this case your opinion isn't correct
I’ve just seen a different view, on Sky, of Helik’s equaliser and it showed Matty James celebrating like a fan, so the club clearly means something to him. Also, I don’t think watching on iFollow really allows you to judge just how valuable he is to our team. You need to actually be there, at the game, to appreciate his off the ball contribution and all round footballing intelligence. The cameras only really pick up on him in possession and in possession he doesn’t do spectacular, just simple and efficient. For me, it’s an absolute honour to have him back here.
Best player at the club and he’s only just getting match fitness , hopefully we can extend his loan until the end of the season , don’t think we can afford his wages for a permanent deal
Sometimes I wonder what people are watching. Matty James still isn’t fully fit, which is why he’s not completing games. A half fit Matty James is still a class Championship player. Elated when we got him, elated that we have him.
He’s always moonwalking and you’ve to watch him around kids. But Jamo is an absolute pleasure. Just a really sound bloke. I can’t speak highly enough of him as a person and the interview we did with him in the Bournemouth edition of the programme explains it all. He’s also a pretty decent footballer.
Trouble is some went a bit OTT cos we were gerrin somebody from a Prem club rather than another nipper and expectations were high. For me at times he`s has been a pleasure to watch this time and the last time he was here, but he has been overcoming an injury and having to fit into a new team and way off playing. I hope we get him for rest of season because it gives us more time to rest other players and bring on some of the least experienced.
I am basing my opinion on his previous stint and what I expect from him as a premiership quality player. When I watch a game i am not blinkered by other people’s opinions or just my whole team. I watch how opposition players perform also and take notice on how they set up against our team and keep note of who stands out and how they compare to our better players. I am not saying James has become a bad player over night but he doesn’t look the same as before. He doesn’t look as composed as last time or as direct with his passing ability. That’s my opinion and everyone is entitled to there’s. Like I said. I’m not taking the shine from the win because believe me, I am on cloud nine with the recent upturn in form and long May it continue.
I can see why you hold your view. I've only seen him on iFollow coverage and my view is that he is a good player but I thought he is being overhyped. However, there are those better placed, like VI and the management team, who clearly think he is the best option to put on the team sheet. In a way, I'm keen to see HK get a chance to show us what he's got and also for RP to break through, but whilst MJ is here and having the impact that the decision makers clearly think he is, then I'm not going to argue with his selection.
If Mowatt goes, we have the perfect replacement as captain in Sollbauer. I think he's a natural leader, more so than Mowatt.
It did make me laugh that Sol was barking instructions at the Hudds corner, only for him to completely miss the bloke who nipped in front of him to score. Top player and leader though, they all make mistakes.
