I'm sure I read something quite a while back ( 18months/2 years) that PC was a friend of Maurice Watkins and that he had asked him to be involved with BFC in some capacity. Does anybody else remember seeing that, or am I having a senior moment.
As I said earlier, Matthew Murray mentioned it in the Chron during the whole 'takeover that never was' episode.
To be honest, most Chairmen operate at that level across many different institutions. It's a strategic role. His job is to sort out the org structure and get the ops side running, set the strategy for commercial ventures, attract investors and sponsorship. It's not a full time day to day position. He'll also be costing a fortune!
Wonder how many hours a week we've got his services for? With his other job roles, you can bet it works out to only a few days a month.
Eventually wizzi, but not initially. I expect he'll spend a lot of time initially, setting the strategic direction and sorting out flicker's 'asks'. Once the org structures are in place, will be their job to implement them
