RE: I'll be straight with you

How do you know that some of the guests or even the posters on here haven't just been released from prison for child abuse/ murder/ beating up OAPs etc ?. I thought the internet was about anonimity unless you chose for it not to be. If someone has commited a crime and served the punisment prescribed by the law then they should be allowed to go about their lawful business. Whether you agree with the level of punishment is between you and your MP. This is the same argument that was in the 'Pete Doherty' drugs thread IMO.

to a certain extent i agree but with paedophilia,no i dont, its too sensitive a issue to forgive and forget as it were, there is always a stain there and it will never disappear.

what about abusers of the elderly ? They sometimes are equally as vunerable.

BTW I wasn't comparing PD's crime to child molestation, what i was trying to get across is rule of law argument in that everyone should have a right to equal treatment under the law and once they had served their sentence then they should be able to carry on with their lawful activites. (bit like Lee Hughes) If someone doesn't agree with the law then their starting point is their MP.

I'm sorry if i caused confusion, there is no way PD is as bad as the paedophiles.

I understood what you meant, I just put a different answer to it (strange I am I know)

But, elderly, I completely agree with that too, the missus used to work in care homes for both elderly and mentally. To see what goes off in there is unbelievable, and how some staff treat the ones they are supposed to be helping and looking after is heart breaking to say the least....

The missus, though, always has and always will have a caring nature and couldn't hurt anyone, maybe thats why she became so popular with the families of the people she was looking after, as they knew she had there best interests first... even to the point when we bought our first house, one of the families bought us a TV and a few bits as a thankyou for her looking after there mother....

only down side, she became so attached to some, that when they passed on, she had to take a few days of work....

But yes, back to your point, abusers of the elderly are as equally as sick
