Should have changed things 20 minutes in. Val would. Duff would. The tactics are awful predictable we are far too narrow which compresses play in the middle. Once again we have no variation to our play. That rests with Collins.

Respectfully disagree, think we’re set up wrong in and in a game we should be winning and we’ve barely created anything.

 

styles was a good player but he seems to have lost the balls/guile to go past people.

 

I don't mind being 13 miles from the pitch. It sounds a riveting spectacle.

Ok...imho we have been poor and they should probably be 3..0 up.
To give credit to Carlisle they more than deserve that. Their coach has done us there...they are first to every second ball and seem more hungry.
We still have bits of quality but are let down by application at times....they want to do the mucky stuff and win the ball more and the ball over the top for runners has caused us problems.
we still have yet to have a real shot and work their keeper...that is very disappointing.
Can see Cozy coming on and using his physicality...to hopefully free up some of our players.
McAtee easily our best and looks everywhere...he needs help.
Collins lad...you need to work some magic.

Yep he looked good under val, but even palmer looked half decent under val.

 

Even ignoring the defensive errors it's hardly been a brilliant team performance. Let's see how the second half goes.

Awful - only McAtee has turned up and any of the 10 wouldn't have an argument to be subbed at half time unfortunately we can only use five.

I think we need to match them physically in the second half so Cosgrove/Lopata for Philips/Shepherd would be my shout.

I'm clutching at straws but we're only one down and we need to come out and boss the second 45 minutes from the whistle.

 

The tactics aren't helping, Carlisle forced the mistakes with high energy and high press, the only option we have is to play 200 passes to get to the half way line to give us some width.
Very predictable and no outlet, very comfortable half for them.

He's as culpable as the players, yes they have made far too many mistakes, but its his, line up, his tactics and so far they have produces zilch!

 

Very true mate as pointed out by you and others, hopefully there's changes at half time and we play better because we're forced to attack.

 

Unfortunately I feel as though they turned up thinking a win was in the bag regardless. Not impressed!
