That’s incorrect. Cryne’s model (like most higher tier clubs) is to ensure all levels of the club play the same style and formation, so when they progress through the ranks, they are already used to the style. Cryne didn’t decide the style, just made sure the philosophy was implemented. Mladen is the exact same - he won’t dictate, but rather help implement a style that is reflected through the club. It will be a style that is good to watch, attacking and a bit of a press. Because that’s what the fans want, that’s what increases the player values and that’s what makes money ultimately. Making sure we have coaches and players who can make a successful job of it is another discussion.
Clarke appears to have zero motivational ability. Well done to Mladen who appears to be succeeding in his job role of "creating and implementing a game model and coaching methodology to be used across the club" The U18s are shìte too.
The club will hopefully outlast the current owners. Our league standing when that happens is what might be the issue.
I was suprised he got another deal in the summer tbh. The club and everyone wants Marsh to succeed but I'm just not sure he will.
Are those stats actually real? 1 shot in the whole game? Just piss off Clarke. Clearly not going to get any better under him, an absolute disgrace from him and his team tonight especially for the poor/mad sods that gave gone over again after Saturday.
I disagree, he was giving other squad players a chance to stake a claim for a regular start. Sadly they failed miserably. However, he has to take a lot of blame as well for his baffling, clueless tactics
Doesn’t matter who the personnel were, they are professional footballers it’s the lack of method that gets me, no urgency, no direction , no clue and no decent attempt in goal
But they don't HAVE to keep us afloat. They have the option of cutting their losses, walking away and leaving us to sink into oblivion.
Is it too much to ask for a bit of entertainment? Or would you argue that no club below the Premier League is providing any?
actually, we did! We really have sunk that low. We needed some hope, something to cling to that there might be an improvement, like a shot on fking goal, and I’ve been supporting us for nigh on 60 years!
Absolutely not. I've been bored silly most of the time this season. What we've seen on the field has been mostly awful. But that's a completely different point to whether the board are keeping us afloat or not.
Normally I’d agree, but in the context of the run we’re on, with no weekend game to come, I’d have expected us to try and put Saturdays debacle right.
Firstly, really poor performances today and recently that need to get better. Talk of sacking manager is nowhere near for me, are we a club now where anything other than good football and top 6 after 10 games isn’t good enough. Give the guy a good go at it. I personally don’t want to be known as the club that sacks a manager for finishing 6th and then sacks the next one 10 games into the following season when they’re 11th and 1 point off the playoffs. Again must get better, but for me we won’t do that by chopping and changing managers all the time.
It’s easy to get into the habit of losing. The more you do the more the pressure mounts. With no game this weekend it should have been strongest squad available and use it to get them used to play together against a fairly strong Huddersfield side. We didn’t we lost and now that run continues.
