TBF we've seen how shìte MdG and Earl are, and Shep was an ever present and getting rave reviews in a team who were always near the top of their league all season and got promoted.
I hope he comes good mate I honestly do, but at moment he his not making the step to league 1, let’s hope he improves but we need better than he his at present
Bit worrying for me how many chances we are missing today and the last game,we have just asmany problems up front as what we have in defence mcgoldricks ratio of goals to chances ain’t good.
We've already got 4 first team centre backs so the main problem is moving a couple of them out to make way for new ones. Hopefully we can do it
At least he's getting in positions to miss them. Should have buried the first chance today, but I'm not sure he actually did much wrong. Got it on target kept it low, hit it with reasonable power. It was an absolutely brilliant save. As for the second one - an incredible effort, which probably 6 or 7 times out of 10 goes in off the post. Which by the way, Wimbledon's second did. As I said, fine margins.
@Menai Tyke Please can you drop Farrugia off at Holyhead ferry terminal after the next home game and pack that useless ****** off back home. Another of Mladen's great signings.
I thought we were a shambles in defence at times, and allowed their midfield to dominate for spells, but we played ok, on another day could have been a different result. Loads of lessons to take from it, and we do need to bring in a couple of players, but it wasn't the sort of game that requires a knee jerk reaction. Let's see where we are after 10 games.
I love McGoldrick and think he's a great link up man that adds quality and will also score his fair share over the season, but he can't do it all on his own.
Well you do. Because if you're a good finisher and you get in the right positions enough, you'll score goals. That's why McGoldrick has got 2 in 5 games already, and has twice been the thickness of the post away from adding to his total.
While I don't believe in writing players off too early, Farrugia does look miles off the required standard.
Mrs Merde will be back from visiting her parents in a week, so I've only got time for a quick fling unfortunately.
Hate loosing, not a bad thing it’s took until today to experience it this season though. We continued the trend of creating plenty but also being poor defensively. On another day it could have been 3-0 or 3-3. Not all bad but a top CB would make a big difference for us.
Agree with this, no one except Cooper played well but they all kept at it and we are a lot better to watch than last season; we had chances, several times the ball across the box either wasn’t good enough or was well defended. Just one of those off days I think but we do need to stop teams playing through us like they did.
We'd be top of the league if we had Wimbledons defence-they averaged less than a goal a game conceded last season
Anderson Pinnock Mawson Helic Mcdonald all made mistakes when first playing regularly for the first team but learnt from them. Shepherd hopefully will do the same. Earl and MDG on the other hand still make the same mistakes they were making at the begining of last season and clearly aren't learning they aren't and never will be good enough.
Well apart from aving a great day up till abart 3.15, when things started to go pear shaped, i'll say after that display the Keeper is a blessing in disguise an for the rest of em it was a no show day, we'll av em an i'm sure the lads an Conor know it, wurnt good enough. Move on, keep the faith, C,O,Y,R.
