I couldn't work out what side of the back 3, the back 3 were meant to be playing, on 2 separate bkackpool attacks Williams was LCB CB and RCB
I would take what the Board said last night with a pinch of salt. The manager was sat right next to them tbf. Did you really expect them to say anything different? The acting CEO won't be asked or expected to make that decision, if it's required.
But he's not an academy product of theirs. In fairness, he probably was here to develop with a view to playing higher up. But he's the only one I can think of.
Kane and Styles are going through the motions and Cotter and the excuse of a centre forward Watters are barely league standard, I’m not even sure Duff could get a tune out of these tossers at the minute.
That was bad. Even if we know what we need to do, we're so, so, bad at doing it. Phillips, Styles - no thank you. There needs to be a proper intervention to get us back on track.
I think it’s a complete lack of effort by some truly awful players. Kane is a joke and if you think Collins is at fault for that I genuinely believe you are wrong.
Would have like to win but I for one wont lose any sleep getting knocked out of this mickey mouse cup……if Collins is as shytte as all on here suggest then progress in this cup would only give him more standing in the boards eyes for me….
I imagine that those in the last year of their contract plus Styles are desperately trying to avoid injury until the January window. I think I would consider it.
Last night the CEO said we had too many players to choose from. Why isn't the manager choosing them then?
Sounds about right, to get us back into top 6. Personally if we're not top 6 come new year, I'd be pulling the trigger. Because if we're not top 6 at that point, I just don't think he has a plan to get us back there and keep us there. The real worry for me, is just how far off top 2 we look, in terms of quality. We look like the struggling League 2 side that got promoted against all odds. I just see too many players on that pitch who don't look like they want to play for him, for whatever reason.
Well surely he can see what everyone else does? NO excuse for not putting the effort in its their job !!!
I actually feel sorry for Watters, he’s not purposely going out to play bad, it’s just that he’s not very good at this level and for some reason Collins keeps picking him.
But why do we need to maximise his profit he has a release clause set at 2million. If we get offered half that in January I'd snatch their hands off.
I was just thinking how it feels similar under Collins to the 14/15 Wilson season. Players that should be tearing it up on the pitch (for Kane, Cadden, Styles, Williams see Winnall, Hourihane, Jennings, Cranie, Lita etc.), having all the life and flair sucked out of them by an insipid manager. Difference is this time we're coming off the back of a, play off defeat aside, successful season - 86 points was a terrific effort. Wilson had a team that had suffered an abject relegation. I get that we're 7th, but it's looking bleak already as it's clear we're going to get worse under this guy.
the thing is, we now have a very ineffective Callum Styles. The way he's playing right now, he isn't worth anywhere near £2m. He's so much better than this. But a $hite Callum Styles is absolutely no use to us.
