i'll try and settle this...

    Original post

"There is no such thing as 110%"

but all we were doing was pointing out, that in some instances you can actually state something in a percentage figure that equates to more than 100%...

funilly enough, I agree you can't give more than 100% in the instance it was used in, but to say that you can never state more than 100% is in fact incorrect...

    Does that clear it

    no?

    I can't be bothered either, :D

How can you use more than 100% of something?

Once its all gone you have used 100% of it.

Anything extra is a percentage of something else.

In percentage terms 100 is the full amount, so for a price increase it is possible for that increase to be more than the original full amount - as in Jay's example of 150%, but in terms of effort then you cannot give more than the full amount of effort otherwise your original assessment of what was the full amount is incorrect.

Cos we got 'tonked' by 3 piss poor teams

Its OK because its history repeating itself. We always play rubbish just before a promotion season. We need a lot more time to Gel. We used the games to experiment with playing formations and players strengths and weaknesses. Never heard such ballacks.

We lost to 3 piss poor teams because we wer'nt good enough, lets face it. We have to get some method into our play. Note how Wigan passed the ball about they hardly broke sweat but kept the ball. At the moment our tactical game is still hoof it up the middle and hope somebody gets on the end of it. (doh) (doh) (doh)

In which case they are a couple of weeks behind in terms of their pre-season training

Bank holiday weekend - that's when the season should start, not 2nd weekend in August
