Wow, we’ve spent 95% of the incoming money. I’m astounded. I could write more but I don’t know where to start with that.
Nah Manson went to Fulham start of last season, Stones maybe but it was never reinvested so where did it go ?, probably same place as Keiffer’s sale !
There has been no crying on my part. Far from it in truth. Whilst there has been much bed wetting and anger, hatred and bile spewed by some, along with sadness and disillusionment shown by others, I like to think I remained a rather stable figure in these challenging times and was one of the few positive voices trying to look at things in a more measured way, rather than piling on uninformed. I'm not a fan of mob mentality. It might be my personality. I've never been much of a cynic either. However, I am no better placed nor am I more deserving of an opinion. We are all free within the realms of the bulletin board rules to express our opinions on our beloved Tykes. But you are correct that on one singular occasion owing to frustration I did suggest my time on the board might be up. I did actually stop posting for a week or so soon after. Stopped logging on even. I'd a personal issue to attend to for a few days which contributed. But I did miss the board. Because I do like debate. I haven't denied the bell end bit.
If that's true they shouldn't be trusted to spend another penny as they have wasted millions on garbage.
Championship clubs made losses totalling £510 m. In the season ending 2018. Where does it all go I ask the question. 2 clubs around the £60 million mark. 1 with parachute payments. Chansiri £32 m I believe. Took him Till the beginning of this season I believe to hand in the accounts. Answer is I don’t fully know. When we were last in the championship costs were above £13 m pales into insignificance in comparison.
I am one of the cynics as far as the Board is concerned- based on the evidence I’ve seen but credit due for that post.
Again I can only report on what we were told. It took 20 mins or so as multiple people wanted to voice their feelings. The answers given were very `cagey' due to the legal situation but overall DM answered them to the best of his ability and stressed the situation came from above his level. Mentioned Lawers a couple of times so I'm summising that until a final outcome is arrived at we'll hear nothing else. It was the first item on the agenda so it was always gonna be the longest. As for the 95% question. I gathered that if all the 'new,' players and 'extended players' see their deals out then that's the 95 including fees paid to clubs and agents. That's from incoming fees. As for departing players who we've got off the wage bill I don't recall wether that was mentioned..... Jay recorded the whole thing so wait for him to post after relistening and we'll hopefully find out.
Out of interest how do people like yourself and Jay get an invite to these sort of things? Seems to be a closed shop and is very alienating to the rest of the fanbase when some get a lot more information than others, especially when 99% of the fanbase were never invited to the meeting.
Was born out of organisers of groups of fans. Seen as a representation of those groups. As said before represention from The supporters trust. Most if not all independent supporters clubs spokespersons. The disabled group. Club Media. Safety officers. To try and reach a wider audience. Via those avenues. Rather than individuals. Which is where the supporters trust comes in. Please recognise the difference. It’s not a closed shop as such as each representative is allowed to bring a.n. other. I have been allowed to bring a.n other along. Generally within the committee I serve. But have also taken along others in our travelling members. Also on a couple of occasions. Asked someone to take my place. Pretty sure if you know anyone on the group they would if possible let you accompany them. But can I please reiterate this is constructed meeting with set agendas being the norm. Updates on previous discussions/ issues. Not a free for all question time. If you know any of those involved please seek em out if you are genuinely interested. Some of the questions put on here are not in our remit. As far as I am aware 100% of the fan base can indeed attend the Supporters trust meetings. Not sure if you have to make a member. If anyone on here definitively knows I’d appreciate your input on that one.
All im saying is don't roll over and have your belly tickled. Actions speak louder than words and all that. Let's wait and see.
Anyone that knows me. Know I will ask the difficult questions it’s in my DNA. But I am not so naive as to believe everything said is true But until I have PROOF otherwise. I try to trust people at their word not on someone else’s gut feeling. How many times have you been told someone’s a t’wat. (Generally because they have a beef with that person) But found them to be ok. You need to hear the other side.
It's a different type of meeting. They do others that the Trust organise which are available to anyone. Last nights was attended by invite to the following SLOs x 4 East Dene Reds coodinators x 2 same as......... Manx Reds, Courthouse Reds, Hoyland Reds, Athersley Reds, Match day Drinkers, BBS Rep x 1 Fanzone~Reds Report x 1 Mascot Coordinator (Laurie) Junior Coordinator (Steve Croft) Jay (in Gallys absence which he asked for a 'sub' on here) represented the BBS and my missus owns the Manx who organises match day travel and her plus one is abroad so she asked if I'd like to attend. Can I just add these meeting have been in place in Mansfords days. Not a new thing at all.........
Appreciate you asking the questions you did, really do. It's not but feeling mate it's much more than that but for obvious reasons I don't post what I get told as that person would end up under a bus. As far as I'm concerned they've caused damage that can't be undone, but I hope they can win us back. However it won't happen overnight, it'll take many months, maybe even years. I feel for Dane as it seems he's been employed purely to be the face of the boards decisions and their decisions over the last 5 months ha be been shambolic to say the least.
Realise your position. But in my position. I have to treat that as a rumour ( again my union background comes in to play). If you know what I mean. As with Dane I have to trust him at first glance. I can only go on what I know is said to me. I have no proof to call you a liar as with Dane also. So would not attempt to do so. Would be remiss of me.
The way they have dressed up the transfer spend is utter BS in any recognised accounting approach. The current accounting approach would not recognise future salaries as a capital expense. Playing that line is, in my opinion, setting up for more outgoings in January to meet the 'cost' of a multitude of additions. All speculation again but fitting with their approach.
