Gally, I know I've asked you to ask this before, BUT, why can't someone get to grips with sorting out the car parking at the rear of the Ponte End? I've visited almost 80 grounds with the reds and off the top of my head I cannot think of a single ground with a more chaotic approach to car parking. Trying to get out at the end of a game is absolutely mayhem. The idea of parking in rows is nothing short of stupid. All it requires a commonsense look at every other car park you have visited, with proper bays. A couple of stewards at the exits for traffic management and perhaps a policeman at the bottom of Grove Street and I am sure everyone would be able to leave quicker and SAFER. Please, please try and get a sensible reply from Don Rowing. Thankyou, rant over (till the next time) John Peet (orared)
Re: I'd love to come along I think it's weeks to late. But I would like to attend and I hope you can make it happen asap. I think an evening around 7pm would be best for most people!
I happen to know the club are talking to the council and police with regards this. Will let you know if there is an update.

Re: Rollcall so far I am reluctant to attend if I'm honest. I applaud Gally for setting up but I don't think the club have any intentions of taking any of our suggestions on board. To be honest a lot of this should have been thought of by the club anyway without needing to supporters to point out the bleedin' obvious.
Better things to do with my life I am afraid. I will NEVER profess to be the best fan ever and clearly I am not worthy in this category of life. BFC is not the be all and end all in my existence and NEVER will be. That honour belongs to my children and will remain so until hopefully they grow up and move forward by themselves. If and when that time arrives i will have to think of something else to worry about but it WON'T be Barnsley Football Club. I have watched/supported them 36 years and will continue to do so. I have had some of the best days of my life watching them but like others I have have paid for it with good money. I do feel the club is run badly but as for a meet with the one of the main culprits in my eyes...whats the point? He is hardly gunna sit there and say 'I admit i am cr@p at my job'. He will just pass over a load of excuses pre-meditated by the club to try and appease his audience. Best of luck with it but don't expect a lot of changes just because 'The Don' has granted the lowly supporters a meeting with himself. Hope this helps
I will have you know that thereev is a top comic talent...... I don't think Peter Kay, Jason Manford etc are remotely funny but they have done very well for themselves and good luck to em...... the fact that you don't get my humour is irrelevant tbh. hth
Choked go crawl back under your rock then if you are not prepared to put forward your opinions face to face.
Re: Rollcall so far Time and date permitting, I'd be up for hearing from the Don. Don't pretend to have all the answers, but it'd be interesting to hear what views are put forward and how they're received. I'd be interested in whether the club would be willing to give up small incentives to fans (reductions on tickets, upgrades to unused boxes/legends suite etc) to use their own skills and expertise to help the club with their strategic thinking. There must be plenty of experienced businessmen, accountants, web developers, database administrators, marketing managers etc. who would be willing to give up small pockets of time to help the club if they felt it would be genuinely welcomed.
Re: Rollcall so far I'm not sure whether or not I'd attend but I certainly don't hate the idea. On the plus side it would be great to hear from Don directly and find out the clubs opinion on things and to put ideas to him properly. On the negative side I don't really think that offering suggestions to him will really achieve anything because i'm certain he already knows what these suggestions are (he can read and we know other club people read the bbs) so why does he need to be told in person to take any notice? The other negative is that I feel a few suggestions, ideas and criticisms would be forgotten in that environment (how often have you come out of a meeting and realised you forgot to bring something up or got back from the shops and remembered you forgot the mushy peas?) For those reasons i'm not sure if its for me or not. Would it be a waste of time or would it be worthwhile? I'm not sure but I'll have a think about it and if i'm not doing anything when its arranged for i'll certainly consider it because I do like it when the club answers questions. Whether I go to that meeting or not I will put some proper effort into coming up with some good suggestions and an actual plan as to how it could be achieved and whether it would be profitable and will give them to Don as soon as I think i've got something worthwhile.
Re: Rollcall so far Dont you own a pen and a piece of paper? Jot a few notes down. and take it with you
