Gally will be pitching my go-kart/scalextric project in my absense. Folk will soon forget there ever was a football club! I think you're right though, the opportunity is there to voice your opinion. If you don't take it, that's your look-out. The STFU button is about to come into it's own.
Of course you are entitled to your opinions. However, when you had a chance to air your opinions to the club, you decided not to bother. I'm afraid it does detract from your credibility.
Re: what if Gally - any chance of another thread where we can pitch questions (you can decide what makes the final list). I'm stuck on the South coast so its likely that the meeting won't be on a convenient date.
Re: what if SuperTyke's name not on the list and also no Young Nudger. Two big critics of how things are done at BFC. Here is your chance to put across your opinions guys.
Re: what if Good idea although those at the meeting will get priority to raise/discuss their points first and time will be limited. That said im sure there will be some similarities.
Re: what if Gally, it would be good if there was a general point made that there is a general consensus (or at least i would say there is from this board and oher BFC fans I speak to) that the move towards being self-sufficient is a positive step and an understanding that this does bring some difficult realities. I think the club can and should improve a number of areas and this is hopefully a very good step in the right direction with a two way dialogue with both the club and fans willing to listen. But a meeting with lots of peope with perhaps minor criticisms might add up and it could easily become very defensive on both sides, especially if it isn't well chaired (key critiscism number one - why don't we have a chairperson!) I would have liked to attend, but impending arrival of my first child means it isn't practical, but I hope that there can be some context to the meeting that on the whole there are signifcant positives from the current ownership's tenure compared with what has gone before, but there are also areas which can improve and allow the club to be more succesfull, which is ultimately what we all want
Re: what if someone best tell conan that the meeting is the the ponty end concourse and there will be no beer available, theres a good chance he will self combust if he finds out on the day and we dont want the dons suit ruining
I think those who constantly criticise Don and the club have more reason than others to turn up but as usual they won't. Its very easy to moan and slate the club from behind a laptop but a different matter when its face to face. I don’t have a problem with people not going but I just wonder how many the biggest moaners will turn up. I want to go, not necessarily to be positive although I am reasonably positive about most things about the club at the minute, but to give my input. If work allows I will be there.
That's only if the current "catering contract" allows for it. Pointless arguing for club profits if it goes straight to caterers (so can understand if the club don't push it if they won't get owt). What's the deal with beer sales in east stand?
