    I'd like to see

McCourt given the same role as Clint Marcelle had and with the same amount of defensive duties.

I don`t think Paddy would get near Clint in a foot race NOW !!! :D:D
Clint was a luxury player and he did alright for us eh ? I agree with you mate, if a player can win you games, then he plays, end of story !

Back then, there was the dilemma of playing Clint and Martin Bullock in the same line-up. Rarely happened. Paddy and Jacob is a bit more user friendly for Danny, I'd say.

Luxury players do what they do, but the more you give the opposition to worry about, the less damage they are likely to do to you. Even when Paddy fluffs one, he's taken 3 or 4 players out the game doing so.

Hmm. Not convinced about that. From what i've seen, when he fluffs one, we're left with 3 or 4 red shirts ahead of him, waiting for the ball that he's just lost. With their players counter attacking, with the ball he just lost. If anything, more often than not it's our players he takes out of the game, not theirs.

I'm not questioning his talent, and he's had me on my feet several times. I would also start with him, to try and cause damage early on. All i'm saying is that he's a luxury player, and he can do more harm than good if he's not played in the right way.

If we had to play just one then it would be Jacob for me. I would like to see them both playing at home though.

Given that they are two of our better players and worked excellently together against Brighton I'd say both. After all the aim of the gem is to score goals occasionally.
