I think the underdogs are always going to think as they do. And tbh I think its summat we all do in respect of wanting em to win. I don't really let it get to me and take it for what it is. Sport brings out different emotions. What I'll never understand, as in boxing for example. I'd chose an Englishman over a foreigner every day. We tend to not like cockiness. It's all part of the game.
Don't disagree tbf. But I genuinely lost interest in boring England games. We were the best clubs in europe at league levels without the influence of foreign tactics and before the influx of foreign players. Yet we adopted the same style of game.
The last minute Sturridge winner against Wales was my favorite in recent years. The pub I was in went wild, was so good.
Yeah I remember that very well, but in fairness to them, Wales had a brilliant tournament and got to the Semis. And Iceland as well, getting to the Qtrs after putting us out.
And my over riding memory of Euro '00, was our appalling hooligans acting up yet again. And there was a very real embarrassing threat of us being kicked out, and future banned. It totally took away the enjoyment of us finally beating Germany in a Finals tournament.
