As soon as Crystal walked through the door she was nailed on to get the job, it doesn't take very long to spot a genuine and trustworthy person I hope she mentioned on her CV how much she looks after you
I told you didn't I. But nooooo nobody ever listens to me. Really pleased for her and for you. *insert inspirational quote here*
I'll have to make my own supper and put myself to bed, Roy. But you know me, mate, I'm not one to complain.
I'm very pleased to hear the good news and I do hope the new job does come with a pay rise (senior carer sounds as if it should) Anyway hows the archi.....archeel....archell.................. I mean digging going?
It does, mate, yes. The archaeology field work is on the back burner for the Winter, with studying, writing & presentations taking it's place. The Indiana Jones hat, bullwhip & revolver are put away in a drawer until the warmer weather returns.
Well that's just what I thought after reading the initial post.........if she is good enough to send on a management course then she is good enough to find another job - and hopefully it will be better than the last one. And if the next job she gets int up to scratch then while she is there she can look for another until she gets somewhere that she likes. Some of the best things that have happened to me is when I've got the sack.
Excellent news. Obviously mean for crystal and you etc. Shame about the closure. They don't hang about. This country needs to take a long hard look at itself
To be honest, Nudge, last week Crystal was really down as were we all. However, a couple of days later, her attitude had changed to one of "I'll show 'em". She has a real caring, compassionate side to her character (as anyone from here who has met her will admit), but also has fire in her belly. Crystal believes she has found a job where she'll be appreciated, paid more, has greater responsibilities & where she'll be allowed to continue with the management course.
I've always believed society ought to look after it's most vulnerable members. Unfortunately, it's not always the case. Thankfully, the residents have now all been found new places to live out the remainder of their lives, although the move will be somewhat traumatic for them.
Hi Kev, Send my love and regards to Crystal. Its never a nice time to get news like that, and you are right, it makes moaning about Barnsley seem rediculous and petty. What does Crystal do in the care Home? My Mrs is the Head of Recruitment for Bupa Care Services so if she needs any help in looking then give me a shout. I'd love to help out in any way I can. Regards Terry x
Thank you for that, Terry, it's very much appreciated. Thankfully, Crystal got herself fixed up with a new job, along with a promotion, today. You're definitely one good egg. Kev
